sprig Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I'm headed for the SLU series; they won't lose. Quote
Wilbur Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 He was good, but his rebound control was lacking. Must have been near double figures in second chances that just hopped a Sioux stick are went beyond the guys stick at the net. And he certainly thought he'd let in 3 or 4 more, with all the times he looked behind him. RU talking about the OD slashing penalty when he went to the net and took a 2 hander from the BU player, only to get stuck in the box, for breaking the BU players stick with his body? Effort should give hope for the rest of the season, for those who had written it off as a lost cause Hahaha. No not that play. But as heated as things get out there I'm surprised he didn't pull a JP Parise on the play. Quote
siouxweet Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 a win would have been great, but a tie isn't the worse thing. if the team that showed up and played tonight shows up from here on out this team will win a lot of games. hey, we didn't lose. Quote
siouxweet Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Where do we go from here? What changes need to be made? home? Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 The question is, can we get consistent performance out of this team on back to back nights? Or will we keep playing well one night and bad the next (or vise-versa)? If it's the former, we have a chance to salvage the season. If it's the latter, we are screwed. Quote
scpa0305 Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Overall another disappointing weekend…this weekend should actually be the season low. This team is getting worse and worse each week. Quote
runaroundsioux Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Overall another disappointing weekend…this weekend should actually be the season low. This team is getting worse and worse each week. They play their best game of the year and they're getting worse? Hmmm OK. Quote
Hawkster Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 It was a weekend of coulda/woulda/shoulda, but really the guys looked to have a lot of fire. Just move on and remember, it's not Christmas YET. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Our preseason #1 center on the shelf, along with both (yes, both, as in 2) senior forwards so you're playing a fourth line of two defensemen and spotting in a center (based on who's got gas after all the PKs). And then take away St. Clair to boot. The state of play was better tonight. They do better when the defensemen jump in and mobilize (see: Stecher on Tambellini goal). This team will not get better until they clean up the crap penalties. But that is reparable, but they do need to stop digging the hole both at the game and the season levels. 1 Quote
MafiaMan Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Where do we go from here? What changes need to be made? Well, if I were in your shoes, I guess I'd seek out a twelve-step program and start trying to work on the positive things in your life. Oh, you mean the hockey team... Quote

NOCO SIOUX Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 This team has a stretch over the next six games that will tell us the fans if they will make a second half run. Granted they don't play anyone in the top 15, but beating teams like these are the wins that start a run. IMO they should win at least 5 of the next 6. I know that is a lofty statement but if the team that showed up tonight shows up for the next six, it should be possible. No matter what, I will still turn on the TV or the webcast for the Sioux. I will still get excited on Friday's cause I know Sioux Hockey is on. I gotta have faith cause it's winter and the only other thing going on is Waterfowl season! Quote
The Sicatoka Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 The BU coach basically said he was the beneficiary of "home cooking" officiating Friday night during the pre-game interview with Tim Hennessy. I guess there were leftovers. Quote
burd Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Overall another disappointing weekend…this weekend should actually be the season low. This team is getting worse and worse each week. They get much worse, they might get 70 shots on goal Quote
Wilbur Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Its not like the reff wasn't right there watching the play.....There was nobody in his way. I'm not sure what the hockey east process is for grading their officials but Mr. Shea and his partner in crime were terrible all weekend. They both get an F. Quote
MafiaMan Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Things haven't changed at BU since 1990. UND went out east for the NCAA's and took BU out behind the woodshed in game #1. Then BU turned the ice into slush the next two nights and won two close games and advanced in the tournament. Bush league stuff... Quote
gfhockey Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 lets blame reffing on ONE call and we are too young. Quote

Different officials than last night....but the postseason should be out of the question for Mr. Shea based on just that one play. Quote
