burd Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 It was an excellent hockey game. UND played extremely well and controlled play for long stretches, something I've never seen them do against Wisconsin. The got out goalied, and UND's goalie had a stellar game herself. There were a few occasions when skaters tried to do too much individually, but they put together a very nice game. This team is much better than last year's IMO. More players have talent, and they are not sitting back to see what the twins will do. Quote
Five-HoleFrenzy Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Final tonight... 3-1 Wisconsin wins taking 5 of 6 points on the weekend. Quote
Pony1976 Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 C'mon Sioux women!!!! Keep the intensity up and the foot on the gas pedal!!!! Huge series this weekend!!!! THUD! Quote
brianvf Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 THUD! Evidently someone is still a wee bit bitter that UND ended the big streak. Apologies to you. Quote
Feff Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Tonight's game was fantastic until the refs decided dictate the outcome in the third. The two body check penalties called on UND were brutal. The refs had been swallowing their whistles on physical play through 2 1/2 periods and then feel the need to call those? Ruined the game imo. Quote
newfan Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 think und freshman are heart of this team. Quote
Maddogg1971 Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 think und freshman are heart of this team. No doubt about it......best recruiting class Idalski has aver had. 1 Quote
Five-HoleFrenzy Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Important series this weekend for tournament positioning. Get a least a win out of this weekend and it will help solidify a top 4 spot in the rankings. Quote
Five-HoleFrenzy Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 UND starts the weekend out well with a 2-1 victory over Clarkson this afternoon. Nicely done. 3 Quote
brianvf Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Unfortunately they fall to Clarkson today by the same score. Quote
Pony1976 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Thinking the split could put Harvard in the #4 spot behind UM, UW and Cornell myself. Quote
nodakvindy Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 With the current system, the WCHA really needs to cut back to a 24 or 21 game schedule. This would allow more games against eastern teams and make the PWR for the women's game more legit. Quote

It doesn't seem like the women's pairwaise will be changing anytime soon, much to the joy and benefit of east coast schools. So, the WCHA better adjust the schedule, or its teams will continue to be unfairly left out of the national tournament, year after year. Quote
siouxforcefans Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Maybe I just missed it, but do we know if Karvinen is playing this weekend? Quote

siouxnami Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I don't think this team is getting the attention they deserve. This is an amazing team given the recent losses. Great work ladies. Quote

Laker Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Yes....... I was wondering when they would be leaving, but I wasn't able to find any information. Will all three (Karvinen, Tapani, and Eisenschmid) be gone starting this weekend? Quote
