Let'sGoHawks! Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Welp, the ECAC got good while we were all mocking it. Quote

runaroundsioux Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 The east coast teams follow the BC model while we have been following the "Old Time Hockey" model. I guess we've seen how that's worked out. Quote
siouxjoy Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 How old is that player they interviewed from Quinnipiac? He looks at least 30! Quote
MafiaMan Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Colorado College has a yellow jersey. And it's awesome! Quote
geaux_sioux Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 How old is that player they interviewed from Quinnipiac? He looks at least 30! That used to be said about our players....... Quote
MafiaMan Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Via twitter Yikes! Even the 2pm CC vs Denver game in Columbus in 2005 looked better than THAT! Quote
YaneA Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 QU has some elderly guys on their roster but it's working for them Quote

runaroundsioux Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 He's got a May 1990 birthday. Yah, but he's a freshman! Quote
yzerman19 Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 speed always kills...you see Cloud trying to cycle and play the Western game, meanwhile QU just creates odd-man after odd-man. Then they also throw in that horse with the hyphenated name who just power moved a goal and a helper... I actually really enjoy watching the game the way these Eastern schools have been playing it... fargosioux Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Regarding Quinnipiac, I've been telling my buddies for a few months, don't underestimate the value of having 11 seniors on your roster. No matter which conference you play in, that's a huge factor. Quote

In my opinion, our stubborn insistance on the cycle is our biggest weakness - while we can usually grind down average teams during the season, we don't have much success with it when it's tourney time. Wilbur Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Love Buccigross, but he needs to relax with the whole "Save by Hartzell" in the deep voice. Quote

Siouxperfan7 Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Looks like it's gonna be an "All Connecticut" Championship game on Saturday!! Crazy that the Championship game will be played by two schools 10 miles apart!!! Quote
Wilbur Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Saw Hartzell play for Sioux Falls against the Fargo Force at the first ever game at the then Urban Plains Center. (Force won 2-1) Game winning goal was scored by Luke Witkowski (Western Mich, just went pro), and the Force goaltender was SCSU's own Mike Lee. Believe Nate Condon scored a goal in that game too. Hartzell's dad was coaching Sioux Falls then. Thought he was pretty good then. Quote
