yzerman19 Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 SiouxSports isn't exactly at full performance right now, either, but I'm trying to keep an eye on it... I blame North Korea or China...they are targeting hockey fans Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Sagard, you're a brave man for hanging out here after a Gopher loss... Quote
SiouxFanatic Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 GPL is down. Well as one of the few good...err tolerable Gopher fan around, you're welcome to hang out here sagard. Quote
jodcon Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Wisconsin outplaying UMass-Lowell but down 1-0 after one, lot of empty seats there too. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Bjugstad's consolation prize will be $3.3 million and a first class ticket to Miami Can't believe he didn't win a hobey in his 3 years. Miami will be fun though Quote
Doc Holliday Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Which is just odd cause when the Gophers were on their game...holy crap look out they were world beaters. All I can say is, Gopher fans have to be disappointed in Bjugstad's season. He is such a good player but never fully showed what he could do game in and game out. Seemed like in some games, he'd mail it in. +1 It's like Bjustad & the entire team only offered brief glimpses of what they could potentially be. That missed opportunity in the final seconds of the 3rd probably summed up his season: Almost. Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 GPL is down. The bed-wetting and gnashing of teeth begins... Quote
SiouxFanatic Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Any video of the ot goal? http://www.ncaa.com/video/icehockey-men/2013-03-29/mens-hockey-regional-semifinal-yale-minnesota All the goal highlights from the game including the OT game winner. Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Half of Bjugstad's goals were on the PP...I don't know why some folks are so enamored by his play... 3 Quote
jodcon Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 http://www.ncaa.com/...-yale-minnesota All the goal highlights from the game including the OT game winner. What a terrible play by Marshall, he just short-armed that pass right to the Yale guy, Wilcox had no chance. Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Half of Bjugstad's goals were on the PP...I don't know why some folks are so enamored by his play... You can not be more right......he just stood there on the left face off dot all year in the pp and when they left him he'd bang it in.....sooooo predictable. Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 You can not be more right......he just stood there on the left face off dot all year in the pp and when they left him he'd bang it in.....sooooo predictable. I think he was on the right dot most of the time...lefty shot. Quote
Clghckyfan Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Do you think Bjugstad will fly directly to Florida from Grand Rapids, jus tdont see him coming back. also wonder how much the boosters will be calling for Lucia's head? Of course there are a lot of reasons he won't be fired (roughly 2.5million reasons with Tubbys name on them). Quote
Boogieman Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 The truth of it is, and give all the credit to Yale, Minnesota played like the silver spoon, cake eaters they are. That program thinks that they're entitled to something. You gotta play the game. Heck with 'em! 1 Quote
Wilbur Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Just seemed disinterested to me. Guess its time to make himself some money in the pros. Quote
I Ranger Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Just seemed disinterested to me. Guess its time to make himself some money in the pros. I agree. He is easily the most talented player in the country when he wants to be but I saw two maybe three shifts the whole game where he looked interested. If he played with Rau's intensity, he would be scary good. Just hate player's that waste their talent. If you would have told me at the beginning of the season that Bjugstad wouldn't even make the top 10 Hobey candidates I would have said you were crazy. Quote
Old Barn Guy at Home Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 With hard work and effort, a team can beat a group of more talented players. Maybe not all of the time, but it has been done. One of my favorite quotes is from Henry Ford: "Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you're right." 1 Quote
Hayduke Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 You can not be more right......he just stood there on the left face off dot all year in the pp and when they left him he'd bang it in.....sooooo predictable. Reminds me of Dave Spehar. Quote
fargosioux Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Reusse's article in the Star Tribune: http://www.startribune.com/sports/blogs/200708601.html There's no more pompous group of sports fans in the Twin Cities than hardcore followers of Gophers men's hockey. That makes it quite entertaining to see them in full pout after an unexpected elimination from the NCAA tournament. Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Reusse's article in the Star Tribune: http://www.startribune.com/sports/blogs/200708601.html I love that quote! So true for the majority of gopher fans I have seen. Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 That Yale game haunts me. Down 3-0 I believe, Hextall scores, Frattin scores from his knees while drawing a penalty to make it 3-2....and that's all they had. Man I hope the boys can get a W and head to Pittsburgh! Quote
Oxbow6 Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 The bed-wetting and gnashing of teeth begins... All Walgreen pharmacies in the TC metro are reporting a shortage on Zoloft. Reports are Goph fans are popping it like Pez! Quote
