siouxforeverbaby Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 DU has scored two more and now leads UMD 4-3 Quote
bcblues Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Nice, Saunders gives kudos to Zane. The mark of a quality teammate. Quote
yelo09 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 YES TECH wins!!! DU up 4-3 on UMD with 3mins left correction 1:45 left Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 A much needed win! Am I the only one that would like to see Hak and Eaves go at it right now? Quote
Goon Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Nice game and a fun game to watch... Lots of stuff going on... Quote
jodcon Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Hopefully we can build some momentum off tonights game, team showed some grit tonight. Nice to see others besides the big 3 in the scoring column. Good weekend defensively giving up 2 goals total. Quote
runaroundsioux Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Katie called Hakstol "You stinker!" Love her! Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 and DU pulls off the win. Standings right now 1. SCSU - 29 2. UNO - 26 3. UND - 24 DU - 24 UMN - 24 6. UW - 22 7. Kato - 21 8. UMD - 19 9. CC - 16 10. Tech - 14 11. BSU - 12 12. UAA - 7 Quote
ringneck28 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Nice game tonight. The D looks like it is coming around. Parks looks like he may be heating up. Now lets see if we can keep the 3 game unbeaten streak going to 4. Quote
bcblues Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 It was nice to see our defense playing with some purpose. It was even better to see us generate some offense. Quote
SiouxScore Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Good solid win, kind of a sloppy 3rd period but that was a little expected being up 4-0. Anyone else notice the Wisconsin player squirting the crowd with the water bottle when Mersch jumped off the bench to try to fight Pattyn. It looked like the postgame coaches handshake was a litlle more intense than usual, think Hak may have had a message to send Eaves off with. Couple very important games next weekend that will probably have a huge impact on playoff seeding, gotta build off this game and get a nice streak going. Quote
bcblues Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 That was a decent series. We have a tough row to hoe for the next month. Let's hope we build on this win and don't look back. Quote

Also, is it a game DQ for jumping off the bench to get involved? Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 What about the UW players spraying the UND cheerleaders with ice in intros? No effing class! All starts with Eaves. Quote
brianvf Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Been awhile since I've seen that much holding, after the whistle crap, slashing, etc. UW seemed more interested in injuring someone tonight than playing hockey, especially after they got behind 2-3 goals. Getting that first goal on them tonight was huge. Forced them to play a bit more open, which they don't look comfortable doing at all. That made them take all sorts of penalties and give up some great chances. Kristo was snakebit tonight...he could have had 2-3 goals himself but couldn't get one to connect. I wouldn't be disappointed at all if we don't see Wisco the rest of the season. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 If we play with the same edge and purpose physicality wise the rest of the season few teams will be able to handle it. The 4th line was unreal tonight Jim and manrod threw people around all night and cycled like crazy. They played like men. 2 Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 That style of play can beat any NCAA team for the rest of the year...it is so amazing to see the difference of tonights game v. The st.clown friday game... Quote
Blackheart Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Badgers are a terrible team and even worse to play against...great win for the Sioux tonight...watch Mersch get nothing for leaving the bench...typical Wisconsin goons... Quote
geaux_sioux Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 My one problem with this nights game was not seeing Pattyn throw down finally. There hasn't been a player I've wanted to see in a fight as much since Pirpich (other than Hextal of course). That would have been as satisfying as seeing little #7 fold like a lawn chair after Jim gave him a jab in one of the scrums.. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Also. This game was 4-1 with a fluke goal and Kristo not being his normal cold blooded self. That should scare any team in the country. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted February 3, 2013 Author Posted February 3, 2013 Good win boys! Keep that effort up and good things will happen. Zane is in a very nice zone right now! Very nice to see... Quote
Oxbow6 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 If we play with the same edge and purpose physicality wise the rest of the season few teams will be able to handle it. The 4th line was unreal tonight Jim and manrod threw people around all night and cycled like crazy. They played like men. What I/we finally saw last night was a team play with a sense of urgency and purpose. That was a top 5 team in the country last night. Have to carry it forward though. Pattyn's line was the best line on both teams all night. Rodwell finally decided to play like he is capable of. Jim is just flat out solid. Let's be honest...WI sucks. They are SCSU w/o a PP unit. They dive and look to instigate then turtle...pathetic. The last four series we have seen one good team...Minny. CC and WI are marginal to poor. SCSU is OK if they can play special teams but nothing special. Zane looks like he is grabbing the goalie job. One hiccup...zero reason to leave the net like he did in a 4-0 game. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 If anyone not named Danny Corbin or Rocco scores UND wins. If not... This will determine our fate from here on out. Was good to see this happen last night. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 What about the UW players spraying the UND cheerleaders with ice in intros? No effing class! All starts with Eaves. They did it Friday night as well. Quote
