sioux7>5 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 I was just reading comments on the Star Tribune about the Blood incident. All I can say is WOW, those people think that UMTC players have halos and never do anything wrong, at least Sioux fans can admit something is wrong and should not have happened. One of them said that the slash never happened and went on to say Blood went after Rau because Rau is better then all Sioux players. Just the total disregard for any facts of the situation. It just blows my mind that fans are that stupid. Now they need to get at least 3 points this week. I think they can beat them but they need to stay out of the box and play smart hard nosed hockey. Go Sioux! Quote
buckysieve Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 You probably won't see an apology from a gopher player. They take the lead of thier coach. Look at what happened when Mich Tech challenged them, they get into a shouting match with the coaches. They do a lot of chirping, take cheap shots and then run away. This is the culture they teach at the U of M. Yeah, that's exactly what our coaches teach their players. Mouth off and run away. Maybe next time we'll class it up and take a cheap shot during the post game handshake. Quote

bigskyvikes Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 I cant wait for the final five! I have a feeling the Sioux/goofs rematch will be ugly! Ugly fun that is! Hope both make it.... Quote

Go Sioux! I never read the comments anymore on there! I have never seen a group of followers complain about things that they are SO well known for? Its laughable! One quote was "that Kristo and Blood thing makes the Hirsch thing seem like nothing" I couldnt believe i just read that! Total mental melt down is nothing compared to two guys losing their cool? My mom got so annoyed with those comments. So she couldn't take it anymore. So she posted a comment about their holier than thou attitudes and well, it got deleted. She was mad because they never delete any offensive comments, but a simple truth does get deleted. Guess the Star Tribune doesn't want to deal with reality. 2 Quote

And in the same comments section you have Sioux fans rationalizing and making excuses for Blood's behavior which is pathetic. Quote
Feff Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Gee, I thought this thread was for discussion about UND vs. SCSU, not the same rehashing of the previous weekend Quote
gfhockey Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 id like to see chaver say that to bloods face lol Quote
ringneck28 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 How many players in total have left SCSU now? I know we picked up the one last week and I saw another left Jan 9th, but wasn't there another earlier too? Quote
UND85 Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 SCSU still has Drew LeBlanc out for at least 3-4 more weeks. Lee is trying to come back after being out since October. I listened to the SCSU coaches show the other night and the coach said they played pretty much just 3 lines on Saturday because of how the one line wasn't performing. I'm hoping Sioux fans are buying up the tickets that are left which last week there was a lot. SCSU has not drawn well this year despite all of their $10 a ticket promos. Quote

Then the series should be semi even as far as healthy bodies go. They should start and 18th man/players from the stands to play on the fourth line. Edited January 18, 2012 by Goon Quote
GoalieMask Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 With injuries, defections, and what not, I have the perfect promo for this weekend's series. Don King would be proud with: "The Depleted at the Concreted" 1 Quote

siouxweet Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 according to Brad-o'donnell,forbort,grimaldi,rodwell and probably parks are out for this weekend. sheez, maybe hak and motzko can just agree to play 3 lines and two d pairings. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Like I asked before: Can Tate Maris skate a wing? Forbort, Grimaldi, O'Donnell, Parks, and Rodwell ... that'd be a heck of a powerplay unit, D-4 and Roc on the points, Rodwell in the tip-bin in front and O'D and Parks on the sides. Quote

I am not sure that SCSU has much left either, they have lost Drew LeBlanc, Mike Lee, Cam Reid gone, Mitch McWilliam gone... I am sure that I missed someone. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 ..., Mitch McWilliam ... Mitch MacWilliam? Has some strange gene-splicing been going on? Quote
UND85 Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 I called ticket office @ SCSU this morning and they said lower bowl is pretty much sold out. Upper bowl has PLENTY of seats available. Hoping for lots of Sioux fans buy them up. Quote
GoalieMask Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 It's a really quick trip and a fun atmosphere if you have never gone. SCSU is a nice option for a big group from the cities who can't get a group together at Mariucci and for those in Fargo it's an easy drive on I-94. Geographically speaking, Bemidji is closer in mileage but this is smoother jaunt. Last year it was a blast with UND fans making the lions share of the noise -- a three point weekend for the good guys in green and white. If you go, don't expect much in terms of asthetics. No beer, concessions are meager, and the neighborhood around the arena is, well, a campus. I liken the arena itself to the Minot State Dome. But when the Gophers or Sioux come to town, it's an event. Quote
InHeavenThereIsNoBeer Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 I'll be there cheering the Sioux on Saturday night in the front row! They better win on my birthday night... Quote
Oxbow6 Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 How does Forbort go from "wanting to play" against Clarkson to warming up vs. Minny Friday night but not playing to out for sure this weekend by Wed.? Quote
