cberkas
Rhett Gardner with a 3 point night, a goal and 2 assists in a 4-1 win. Gardner is 10th in scoring in the AJHL, and 3rd in goals in the AJHL.

Hopefully he follows Dillon Simpson as someone whose dad played in the NHL and chose the college route, instead of guys like Matteau and Lemieux. Of course Simpson's dad played college hockey. Looks like Craig Wolanin played with Kitchener.

Does this pretty much confirm Ladue or another D leaving early in addition to Schmaltz?
siouxforce19
A '95. Does this pretty much confirm Ladue or another D leaving early in addition to Schmaltz? He's insurance if an extra D leaves early. It doesn't confirm anything except the coaching staff is prepared if that happens.
SiouxScore
A '95. Does this pretty much confirm Ladue or another D leaving early in addition to Schmaltz? I think it is more designed to give them more depth and options whether guys leave early or not.
jjensen
I think it is more designed to give them more depth and options whether guys leave early or not. Personally I would like to see Evers play another year of juniors outside of the USA team maybe develop some sort of offensive game. He is a 97 so it totally wouldn't be out of the question. I think that would maybe be ideal. Both are great players but if there fine with waiting they both seem like kids that would wait a year. Yeah, I see he was drafted years ago in the latter rounds, so the fact he isn't playing there suggests he wants the college route.
I Ranger
I would guess this is more of a Panzarella replacement than anything else. Just a lower scholarship d-men to cover against potential early departures. It wouldn't surprise me if we are still after another top notch D recruit that could possible come in next year. I'm thinking that wolanin kid would be a bigger recruit than say chartrand. Based on the production (and age) wolanin may be more talented. The USHL is a far better league than the SJHL. Looks as though he is currently struggling but a lot of players do. It's a great league.
