SiouxScore
Mattson scored the 1st goal of the game on the powerplay in a 4-3 Grand Rapids win over Duluth East. Mattson played well and showed a lot of skill and it was a great game to watch between the longtime rivals.
scpa0305
Collin Adams should be discussed a bit more, as far as, UND recruits go. Quietly having a very nice year.

ISS has had him that high all year and uh.....must not have seen him play recently. Craig Button has Mattson ranked at #23 in his January rankings while Tufte is at #25. Scouts must be seeing something? Jost at #12.Link: http://www.tsn.ca/craig-s-list-can-t-go-wrong-with-puljujarvi-laine-1.421415 Quote In what has been a dry spell for Minnesota state high school hockey with respect to producing high-end prospects, two players find their way into the top 30 of these rankings. Mitchell Mattson and Riley Tufte are big and skilled and continue to show they could be the first players selected in the first round from the Minnesota high school system since Nick Bjugstad and Brock Nelson in 2010. geaux_sioux
Has anyone here seen Jost play? I'm curious about him and he's a bit of an enigma to me. Is there an accurate player comparison?

I don't know anything about Hoff other than stats, but it's a joke that Rhett isn't on there. NO chance he's not drafted. He'll be a late rounder, but will absolutely get drafted. Great size, good speed and hands for his size, can win draws and is great in front of the net.

Jost at 15 and Mattson at 49 among North American skaters and Thome is at 19 among North American Goalies. Agreed pretty surprised Gardner and Kiersted weren't on the list and Schloss also mentioned Adams as having a shot to make the list but he didn't either. Good size, stays in high school through SR year when he coulda went USHL, very skilled. Mattson may be a little more physical than Nelson but I think Nelson was more skilled and a better finisher as a SR.
