All schools need to be on board with this, right? Can't see SJU voting to kick out their biggest rival. So long alumni fan interest and donors.... goodbye exposure from playing St. Thomas every year and huge games played at Target Field and Allianz. The only way UST leaves the MIAC is if St. Johns goes with, or UST just says screw it, and decides to move on regardless. They aren't getting booted. (Just my prediction, I may be wrong and I don't proclaim to know everything.)

https://www.grandforksherald.com/opinion/columns/4605464-mike-jacobs-playing-catch-college-funding What do you guys think of the most recent budget? Good for UND?

Get a life man. Very emberrasing for you.

He gonna be the only one?

There sure is a lot of "hate" in that group. Do they even know why they don't like him? Or did someone just tell them that he's a Nazi and they ran with it?

LOL, when we went there a few years ago it was definitely pretty bad on the way into town... I remember that I had read about the stink on this message board, but never thought it would actually be as bad as it was! Luckily, I don't remember smelling it on campus. I think it smelled worse than dogshit - more like rotting flesh. Kind of like the smell in South St. Paul... times about 20.

I'd take that. UNC was the only football away game that I've been to and it was great. Amazing weather, cheap and easy to get to, and we could stay in Denver. Probably an easier trip than the drive up to Grand Forks, actually. Plus I hear there is this guy that hosts an awesome tailgate... gotta go back for that.

The upcoming schedules are also great with most of the non conf games being against big sky teams. Fans will actually know who they are! Don't forget we have a home and home lined up with Montana down the road as well. Attendance is going to be great starting int 2020.

Not sure why you quoted me - I didn't say or imply that.

What did you expect? I hope you're happy with whoever we get after your nonstop bashing of Kennedy.

Who cares though. Coach Pryer wasn't and he did a great job. Jones is and look how that is going. Commitment to the University has zero correlation to success. However, the appearance of commitment is important.

True, she doesn't have voters to pander to anymore. But who knows how she really feels about this stuff. I'm pretty conservative, but I think she has the potential to do a great job as president. Every potential selection is a gamble to some extent or another.

I will be happy with anything that doesn't have to be customized on the front.

Yeah but she can threaten to cry to the press and never donate again. I think something like this could work with the just the logo and no text.

Don't think it will happen, but I think St. Thomas has the potential to make a play and compete with the U of M in D1. Play football at MN United's new stadium, which is eventually going to be expanded to around 26,000. City of St. Paul vs Minneapolis. David vs Goliath. Could be a great rivalry and St. Paul could rally around them. In this situation they would have a great on campus practice field. I think both FBS and FCS could be successful. They would have great attendance if they played in the valley for football. Could see huge crowds with the Dakotas and UNI nearby. If they were FCS, they could play a split schedule with some games on campus and some at the MLS stadium. If they didn't drop hockey, they could pay to have ice put back in the coliseum. Though that place would be a morgue if they didn't draw well. Great atmosphere when full. This one is more wishful thinking than anything.

Best season anyone remember in terms of off season departures? There have been some big names in the past that have retired from football or transferred. Pretty good news imo. If we can get a couple incoming transfers, we could come out on top this off season. Knock on wood.

The current replicas are butt ugly. Anything without a number on the front!!!

That might say something then. With UND needing a NG, they still put him on Offense. Guessing they didn't think he had the ability to play NG at this level. I'm also talking out of my ass.

I've always liked Kennedy, and still do, but after the CU news, it's time to move on. This was a great move by Hagerott, IMO, but I doubt it prevents a drawn out court battle if Kennedy doesn't get the nod at CU.

I'm fine with the "game" being at the hpc if they aren't going to try to make it a huge event. But if they wanted to make an event out of it, I do have an idea. UND is putting on some type of spring concert event for the students, right? I think in the parking lot of the Alerus? Move the concert inside, either in the HPC or the Aleruse center. Allow tailgating Close tailgating when the spring "game" starts have the concert after the spring "game" at the same venue. While the band is setting up after the game, have some type of event on the field with the fans, football toss games, interaction with football players, booth to sign up for nodak nation, discounted champions club membership booth for graduating students, etc.
-
At least there is some coverage. From UND's website: "While the practice will not be televised or streamed, fans can tune into the action with Jack Michaels, Mike Berg, and Paul Ralston from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on 1440-AM in Grand Forks and 790-AM/94.1-FM in Fargo. University of North Dakota television partner, MidcoSN, will produce and air its award-winning series "Day by Day" following the night's events"

They don't have a rink.
-
Do they? When did they make that decision? Funny they have stayed D3 so long.

Looks like Miami made an offer to BGSU's Bergeron and BGSU just offered him a new contract and raise. Wonder where he goes...
