I like Eastern Washington to pull of the upset. Should be a good game. Deffinitely cheering for the Zags to crush the Bison. I will be cheering for my team, the Blue Devils, but I have Kentucky beating Iowa State for the Championship to pull off the perfect season.

I was kind of being a little sarcastic. Sure stars is an easy logo, but that's not what people want. We want something that is original and that stands out. How many ways can you make a star that differeiciates from every other Star logo out there?!!

Original. This goes for the name as well. How many different bulldog, huskie, eagle, wildcat, etc logos and names are there out there. That is the one thing I think is important when selecting a new name and logo. Find something original. It might be a daunting task, but if the powers that be can pull it off and come up with a logo that is unique and cool, fans will support it.

Playing in the night semi final was an advantage for the Gophers. More walk up single game tickets will be sold to gopher fans going to the 7:00pm game on a Friday than a 2:00pm game on a Friday afternoon. Which resulted in more Gopher fans at the semi final game creating an even bigger home ice advantage. The disadvantage was the Saturday game where, no matter if they won or lost, the team they played had more rest.

He says Miami and Denver are both pretty strong in goal. I guess Zane is just OK. Not sure why this guy won't guve UND any respect. I guess we will just hate to hoist the trophy in April in Boston to prove it to him!!

UND fans complained for years about the "Minnesota Rule" at the Final 5. It would be pretty hypocritical of us to want the same thing and not expect the same reaction from other fan bases.

The regular season champ does get a reward. They get to play the last place team in the league. A conference champ should be able to handle a last place team in their barn in the first round of the league playoffs. Also, they get the top sead in the conference tournament the next weekend. If not, that's their fault. CC not making it was a little crazy. But they can't blame the system for choking at the end of the year. Technically it wouldn't leave only 4 at large bids, as the regular season champ could win the tournament championship as well, but I see your point. The regular season means alot considering PWR an seeding in the conference playoffs. But you have to reward the conference tournament champ. Gives the tournament meaning.

Ask last years UND team if they thought it was a good idea. Also, you rip on third place games but are cheering for St Cloud to lose in a 3rd place game to help out the Gophers!! So if St Cloud loses on Saturday and it allows the Gophers to make the tournament, I guess you could say that you think that they are a good idea!!!

I get it that there a tons of people that have to work and won't be able to catch the entire game. Myself included. But stop and think about what really matters here. Do you want the team to have the best chance of winning, or to make it easy for you to watch the game. They will deffinetly have an advantage over Denver or Miami as they will have more time off between games, no matter if they win or lose. Sure the prime time game on CBS Sports would look better with a full crowd. But I am more concerend with having the best opportunity to win than making the ratings look good in prime time. Get used to it folks, because we will have the early game in Fargo a week later. That is what is best for the team to be successful and that is what we all want right?!!

NDSU has obviously had their recent successes. But that doesn't mean that UND can't either. The Bison lost tons of scoring last year in basketball, projected to finish 5th and now they are dancing. (3 of the last 7 years they have made it byt the way). UND has shown that they can be successful in both basketball and especially football. Tough to be patient when you see the school down the road with so much success. But the way things are now aren't the way things are going to be forever. Bubba has the football team heading in the right direction. We have some great players coming up in MBB. (sure the coaching is an issue, but thats a whole different topic). Brewster struggles at the end of the year with the WBB team, but he has shown he can produce a Championship caliber team. UND can compete in the Big Sky.

His team won not only the toughest league in the country, but one of the toughest top to bottom leagues that college hockey has seen in a very long time. Seems like a no brainer!!
