It’s not the loss that’s pissing people off, It’s how they’re playing like they don’t care because they’re still going to be in the NCAA playoffs so the have nothing to loose.

This game is a warmup from UMD. Not that UND needs it to get in, but they certainly don't want to get embarrassed.

What BS. Denver won the penrose in 2 of their last three ncaa title seasons and was second and won frozen faceoff for the third one. Duluth rode a clutch goaltender to back to back titles. Which you can do in a one and done.

There's a reason we have only pulled off the Trifecta three times (1980, 1987, 1997). It's mentally challenging. And all the teams you play are treating the conference tournament as a second chance to win a conference title.

Once the NCAA tournament starts, all that goes out the window and doesn't matter. It's truly a new season.

The 2016 team looked like crap in the NCHC semifinal and third place game. It didn't stop us from hanging #8.

Before tonight our last 13 games: 3,4,3,3,1,0,3,4,4,3,3,3,1.  That’s goals allowed in regulation. In 10 out of 13 we gave up 3 or more goals. Tonight, 3 more so far. That is a recipe for losing in the NC$$ tourney. Almost no chance of winning a championship with that level of defense. I was hoping they would show some improvement in that area tonight but it’s not happening.
