The results of the conference playoff tournaments will have an influence on how all this plays out.

Of course.

Just sharing their latest guess.

Not a super big fan of playing Augie in Sioux Falls.  Pretty tough goaltender.

I do like the NCHC teams at 2, 4, 6 and 8, though.  With perfect bracket integrity, none of them would match up against each other until the Frozen Four.

I wish the committee actually respected bracket integrity but they don't. The double standard of not letting a higher seed host a game combined with moving teams around to help with attendance is insane.

If they are that concerned with attendance then put regionals back on campus sights.

What year was it that there was an all-WCHA Frozen Four?  Committee will NEVER, NEVER let that happen again.

Would be interesting to see how many times the bracket has spread out 4 teams from each conference since 2005.

You can make a solid argument that in regionals it's more fun to see team's from different conferences facing off to see contrasting styles of play that you don't get to see as much during the regular season. (not spreading teams out in the 4 regions decreases the odds of hit happening) BC vs Denver, BU vs Minnesota come to mind as recent regional final examples where it did happen.

(From a neutral fan perspective in a perfect world I'd choose these matchups to decide who goes to a frozen four over seeing Michigan st vs Michigan, Penn State vs Michigan, UND vs Duluth, UND vs St Cloud. We can see these matchups every year during conference play) Obviously bracket integrity doesn't always align that way but when it does I'd like to see them lean into trying to increase the odds of those matchups happening. (slim odds of it happening but would help increase the entertainment)

No way 4 nchc teams are put in 4 different regionals

ncaa and integrity should never be used together

With each passing year it baffles me more and more that they don't do this. I used to be more understanding, but we're getting to the point where it makes such little sense to do these empty neutral sites where the 16th team could end up being in their own backyard.

That being said, if UND ended up the overall #1 I'd rather go out east and play Holy Cross than end up playing Augie in a home game at Sioux Falls.

I agree with you though; neutral sites don't work well for hockey no matter what the Adam Wodon's of the world say.  Your most important games of the year are consistently played in venues that are half full at best.  I'm all for campus sites earned by the highest ranked teams where you would have a crowd and some atmosphere.

Let's worry about filling our arena for our own conference tournament first

No small task after looking at the Ticketmaster prices.

$60.00/ticket ... sorry hard pass on this one.  Jody was on all the radio shows this morning practically begging people to attend the game this weekend.

Since this a conference tourny game, can I assume the conference sets the ticket price?

Not sure, I assume the conference takes their share hence the increased price.  Will be interesting how many attend when you add spring break in as well.

People were willing to pay that for a neutral site tournament in St. Paul. But I think they'll have to lower those prices if we are going to have these games on campus.

I imagine some students will come back early to make the game. Spring break is over next Monday.

What were ticket prices in St Paul?  It seems to be more on campus and in St Paul you got 2 Semi Final Games.  Also easier for the NCHC to justify higher prices when you need to pay to rent the X, hotels and transportation for 4 teams.

**NOT UND's FAULT**, but this is a disaster. Unfortunate that UND will end up being the ones embarrassed.

They do everything they can to keep the WCHA does not have 4 teams in the Women's Frozen Four.
