In this day with replay and challenge you can't get away with that.   No call made until the coaches challenge.  A but end is a but end in the rules.  Call was right.   Weak yes, but sill correct.

That was the weakest major call I've ever seen. Maybe he should have buried the end of his stick! It should have been 2 minute at the most.

If they call another on UND Dane better be in the refs ear about how they have been calling this game, and file a complaint with the conference about these two refs

It would’ve been 2 minute if refs saw it. Unfortunately they didn’t so it was challenged.

It’s a major by rule. You have to call it even though it was a little jab. Verhoeff just cannot put himself in that position. 

If there isn’t a couple of penalties called on St. Cloud in the 3rd, there is a problem. Reffing has been horrible.
