Looks like ASU went + Potter - LaPinta

Been hearing Potter isn't ready for the NCAA and should have went to the U18 and possibly USHL.

I hope he does well at ASU but man I could see him transferring after one year at ASU.

Probably.

Why play USHL for free when you can make a quarter million in front of ASU puck bunnies, and just transfer back to MSU next season?

Gotta love modern day, amateur athletics …

I'm a teenager, lacking judgment and jacked with hormones and self interest?   Give me the moneys and the bunnies.

Could we even carry 4? I think I remember it happening before however this is obviously a bit different.

Looking at the big teams I don't see anyone with an opening for a goalie outside of Western Michigan. Due to the time of decommitting I'd say back at Fargo for one season. But have to take the shot at him, Heil is still another year out since he wasn't the starter with Sioux Falls, and I could see him doing a year in the BCHL too like Hoby did.

Agreed, but going back to Fargo would be an interesting option for him considering he just dominated that league, obviously the team shouldn’t be as heavy next season.

If he were to come here (and that is a giant if), I’m guessing Hobie or TJ would need a new home. Puts them in a super tough spot. And the just posted numbers this morning. Again highly doubtful we’d entertain at this point.

Do you think he is looking to go the same place as his brother?  If so, I would think that would limit his options.

Man, what a crazy situation at NMU.
Really bad offseason for them.

Gonna be real interesting to see what happens with the Slukynsky brothers.
You'd love to see a really talented Warroad goalie end up at UND...but yeah...unless he goes back to the USHL for a season, I'm not sure they'd want to entertain that for this upcoming year.

The Twitterverse liked Western Michigan for the goalie.

They were the only one, with Rowe still having a 5th year. Forgot they got the former Minnesota goalie that went back to juniors but did so bad he ended up in the NAHL from the USHL.

The NCHC is going to be very interesting with goalies this season. Western Michigan, St Cloud, and Duluth with young goalies, UND and CC with a two-goalie rotation, Denver could play all three, Omaha and Arizona State with a solid starter (ASU has 5 goalies listed), and Miami with the never ending rebuild.

Edit: I guess Rowe will still be at Western Michigan

So when does Schlossman put out his top 20 targets that will be eligible to commit on August 1.   I know it isn't completely comprehensive and includes a local flavor since they may be more likely to be targets, but it is always nice to get a gauge on who we could be after when that deadline rolls around.
