I would love to have multiple UND quarterbacks good enough to be drafted in the NFL

Quality QB’s come from a lot of places. More often from top FBS schools, but there is nfl talent at the FCS and D2 levels also. Kurt Warner doesn’t have an nfl career if you don’t look for talent outside of P4 conferences. Tony Romo, Joe Flacco, I could name hundreds of nfl players from outside of your criteria. 
 

I’m not sure what any of this has to do with ndsu QB’s being bust or not, seems you have a problem with how nfl GM’s evaluate talent.

The one Bison I enjoyed watching was Zabel in the Super Bowl.   It probably helped that I wanted Seattle to win, but I thought he's the type of player we need to recruit more.

There's something about Wentz's arrogance that annoys me.   He doesn't play nearly as good as he thinks he plays.   As I said, overrated and over egoed.

Overrated and bust are not the same thing. Let’s not move the goalpost on the conversation.

Don't you have your own board?   I'll refer to Wentz any way I want to, and overrated and bust fit him fine.   For some reason teams do just fine when he's watching from the sides.    Philly found that out.

They already fund their athletics at the expense of their academic side (see $10 million bailout a few years ago). Wonder where the money actually goes....finding some extra students to pay under the table to get their enrollment to be the exact same every year?

I’m hoping people are on the lookout to make sure there isn’t any sleight of hand going on with funds being shifted towards NDSU football earmarked for something else.

On the subject of Polesek's salary, with the G6 coaches getting that kind of money, how long will be before Schmidt gets something big like that offered to him and moves on?   You can bet that another good year and he's on somebody's radar.   These G6 salaries are nuts, especially for Polesek.

It would be a good problem to have because it means he is successful.  It’s going to be the thing moving forward unless your program isn’t winning

While it seems so on the surface, do we want the entire staff being poached and have to start the process over?    Do we need to look at bumping up salaries to stay competitive and stall out the better coaches moving on?   We won't be able to compete with a G6 pay scale but being at the very top of FCS sure would help IMO.

Like it or not, the institution in Fargo has a ton of friends in the legislature and there is no better example of that, then what occurred, quietly at the end of last session, where they gave them a get out of jail free card….and in the end, the wheel down there just kept on turning, with no harm done. Comparatively, when reaper comes from state leadership and the legislature, UND it seems can’t be placed in the crosshairs quick enough, as has been the example, within the last decade.  My educated guess is, they will get a significant boost, and say what you will about those writers out of Fargo…they have written  quite a few things into existence it seems over the last 25 years, and its only emboldened them to continue to try.
