I think you have found a very good, if not great, football coach. Not sure about either basketball coach. Honestly, both teams that played in Grand Forks today are middle of the pack NSIC teams. If there is much D1 talent on either squad, it doesn't look like the coaches are getting it out of the players.

Can't disagree with you at all. MBB hasn't been relevant for literally decades now.  WBB went down the toilet after Roebuck's last recruits graduated

I do think Sather is a good coach but just not in this era of college basketball. Like it was a good hire but then we ran into Covid and the portal era and that’s just not his style.

Like you have said, I am really curious if he was interested or tried to get his job at Northern back. I would have tried if I were him IMO.

You thought it was a good hire ? I thought it was horrible then and looks like i was right. He inherited a power house Northern team that he  just stepped into. Like getting the NDSU football coaching job.  After he left with his recruits Northern went down.  We need some sort of D1 coaching experience and recruiting.   Someone who knows how to use the portal.   A up and comer ! And I wont talk about his assistants

Denver is basically MSU Moorhead from last year. They may be beatable. They may even beat the Bison once. NDSU always has a night or two where they can lose to anyone. I say the UND men win 2 to 4 Summit games. Probably more than your women.
