Pretty obvious the QB battle comes down to JTJ or Jerry.  Jerry has the experience working under Isaac.  But, JTJ wasn't brought in here not to compete for QB1.  JTJ is the most athletic QB in the room, but Jerry is showing in camp he may be the most accurate passer.  I am rooting for Jerry, but if JTJ outperforms in camp and wins the jpb, I am OK with that too.

Jtj has experience with the new defensive system though!!! I am happy with whichever gets it for Kansas St.

Fists were flying.  Love it!!

Apparently, another massive fight broke out today at practice with one key starter getting injured and might be out for a significant amount of time.  Great.

That is not good. All the players need to bond like brothers!!!

Wonder if the injury caused the fight or if the injury was because of the fight.

I'm all for the a little pushing and shoving and trash talk between the offense and defense, but there is a line that should not be crossed.  IMO 3 fights in the 1st week is too much.  If you can't control your emotions with your teammates what is going to happen when the games start the the fights turn into personal fouls and DQs?

I’ve always thought practice fights are stupid because they can lead to injury.  I only remember a few small skirmishes when I was at UND.
The coaches can end it immediately if they want to. Hopefully they want to.

tom Miller makes no mention of a fight/injury in his update today.

I think the fisticuffs were allowed by coaches to change the tone of the practices and team in general. Never want to see injuries but you want dogged competition.

Is anyone going to tell JTJ that we don't use tight ends at UND?

Tupou'ata-Johnson was in sync with his tight ends on Thursday. He connected with Missouri State transfer Watson Hafer and Maple Grove true freshman Nathan Hromodka, in addition to his long ball to Kallstrom.

Being  physical is one thing but allowing fights is another

coaches need to address this today

it’s only week 2 , can’t afford stupid injuries

Really enjoyed the most recent 360 podcast. Freuchte sounds like a really good dude. Excited to see what he does with his tools this year and hopefully for several years to come. I have to imagine if he shows some success he won't be around long, but I'd rather lose a talented guy in a few seasons because he was that successful rather than have mediocrity linger.

Can't wait for K State; we are almost there! Lets Go!!!

You hit the nail on the head here. This is the name of the game in college football now, especially FCS

This is not validated and is a perfect example of conspiracy b.s. that now everyone will latch on to as fact (as evidenced by the string of comments on here).

Nice guys don’t usually finish first; things are going just fine. Injuries are a part of the game unfortunately. The nice guy mentality that Bubba formerly ran practice with was not getting it done… trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is….

With all that said, there is a line you don’t cross. You can’t have all out brawls within your team.

In summary, everyone step away from the ledge. Things are going fine. Better than fine, actually.

Tom Miller on this morning with Tim and Paul...."The fighting at practice has gotten out of hand and the coaches need to reel it in fast" but I guess it's just conspiracy BS

Per another post Tom Miller confirmed the fighting has gotten out of hand.
You are right - plenty of injuries in football. It’s stupid to create more by fighting your teammates.
My experience is that the fighting initiates from a guy that’s getting his arse kicked so has to find another way to show how tough he is.  Stupid.  Be a better fb player and don’t need to fight your teammates.
