That is up there on the list of most recruits…unfortunately the hockey players of ASU aren’t getting a shot at that…have to stand in line behind football and basketball players at big time schools LOL. Yeah, but that ASU third line "talent" still has "talent". 4 Quote

ksixpack Posted Wednesday at 05:57 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:57 PM The #1 concern of every recruit is and always will be playing time. Where do they fit in, how many minutes a game, power play, shorthanded, top 6 forward/top pair D, starting goalie, not backup. They all want the big time important roles and minutes; without that, all of their goals and paths to success are diminished greatly. This is why every teams top players almost always endorse hiring the assistant coach/current regime when a change is being made at the top. They know their role and don’t want change…they are afraid that a new coach from the outside may change their roll/playing time. Quote
Siouxdaddy Posted Wednesday at 05:57 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:57 PM I thought Auzzo and Swish gave a good argument for Jax on the Live in Five Pod today, but that is just my opinion. 1 Quote
Popular Post Langster019 Posted Wednesday at 06:00 PM Popular Post Posted Wednesday at 06:00 PM After reading the Berry letter, and seeing his gratitude and what this job meant to him, it makes me wish things would’ve been better under him. You can’t ask for more when people speak of their position in the way he did. Except results. But what ifs don’t change the lack of wins in late March/April. Hope he lands in a spot he can enjoy and succeed. Wish him the best. And ready for the next chapter. 8 Quote
Langster019 Posted Wednesday at 06:01 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:01 PM Also, has there been a thread that spits out pages faster than this one has? So difficult to keep up. Ha. 1 2 Quote

Just sucks for him, no matter his success, hell always be remember for being fired. Quote

Football was good this year. Maybe due to sheer numbers of more competition I suppose. They want Herley gone. ASU just took the head coach from GCU's woman's basketball team to coach their woman's team. I was funny last year when GCU had the best basketball team in Pheonix Metro. The football one I never understood, the ASU fan base acts like they were the USC/UCLA/Washinton/Oregon's of the PAC-12. When reality was, they were at the bottom most of the time. I don't think Kenny will be at ASU for a long time, Cardinals might come calling sooner than later. Quote

He bleeds Sioux green and obviously worked as hard as he could to help us win. It just didn't work out like he and a lot of us had hoped. I wish him well in whatever he does going forward. 2 Quote

But they are just one of several important stakeholders who have a vested interest in who runs this program and it's success. For the record, Jackson may end up being a great hire. I just hope he plans on shaking things up. 1 Quote
yzerman19 Posted Wednesday at 06:18 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:18 PM I'm going to pivot some of my comments to help create some of the basis of my thinking. I would actually like to reflect on the Minnesota pro sports model...aka he is one of us, he's great, we love him...Joe Mauer, Zach Parise...unreal pro athletes....however, when's the last time the Wild or the Twins were actually relevant. I want to be careful of that thinking... 1 Quote
