chyzyk is as clued into the best 06-12 players around minny and the country as anybody.  Those who play with and around him absolutely love him.  Hes smart, educated, passionate....he loves Sioux Hockey...has a great little family...if I were dreaming of an assistant, its him

I think he could recruit very well. Just didn’t develop a system to fit the recruits

Berry was better as a top assistant/recruiter than HC.

Or Chicago or Dallas or St Louis or Phoenix or Los Angeles or Denver any NHL team figured out that strong youth programs grew the fan base every time

This x1000. They have to start here because recruiting matters almost the most, next is system ran.

Am thinking that the only way Chyzyk is with UND next year is if Jackson gets the job. If it's an external hire, the new HC likely won't have any idea who Chyzyk is & will want to bring in his own guys.

That’s assuming Jax wants to bring him onboard.

I can’t see in any scenario where Karl is retained, Dillion on the other hand is questionable but my gut says no. He needs to bring in “his” guys.

also, if the new HC wins a natty next year, are we going to give credit to Berry like we have to Hakstol?

Anyone know how college HC buyouts usually work—Berry’s, if known?   Paid over the remaining term, according to the contract?  Lump sum?  If lump sum, reduced to present value?

This was covered awhile ago but UND will pay out the rest of his standard contract, which is $400k+.
