No doubt, Jerry is a stud and he's a huge reason as to why the team has earned so much success so far this year, but if our fan base did that I would be incredibly emberassed, and the other fcs fanbases would rightfully rip on us... Dropping his name for the Walter Payton is even a stretch.

IF und beats the ndac and Jerry is a big part in that victory he will certainly be in the running for the Walter Payton award....

and yes he ain't winning any heisman trophy in the next three years no matter what...what I was getting at is the social media's at und need to realize the growth potential for und football is thru the roof....have some fun with it..embrace that we finally have a "face of the franchise" and that's Jerry.

So someone makes a humorous attempt to throw Jerry and Heisman in the same sentence and there are people jumping in to rag on that comment and bringing in a Xcel spreadsheet to his rank him among FCS QBs.

Lest we forgot who QB'd this program to a totally wasted season last year with many here lined up to defend what we all witnessed.

Jerry is legit. Enjoy him. Unlike last season it is definitely safe to say he's not the 4th best QB out of UND, NDSU, MSUM and Concordia.
