Good thing the fanbase saw Jerry in meaningful live game action last year to confirm he sucks......

How many TDs would Romfo of had without Bo last year?

Healthy or not, I'm thinking he would probably have a worse season this year than last year due to not having that rare outlier player who caught everything and got so wide open so regularly. Start one of the other 2 and see what they can do even is Romfo is the best practice player again this year.

We scored 30 points a game last year, I don't think it was the QB's fault that we gave up more than 30. Just saying. So, why all the bashing on him? By the way, I don't care who wins the battle this fall either.  Change the focus to the lack of stopping the run last year and not getting off the field on 3rd downs.

This is spot on.

Of all the issues last year, QB was not at top of the list. I thought Simon got better as the year went on and I feel the team was vested in him. Not saying the other QB's can't be better this year, but last year's debacle can't be put on him.

We want Miller covering UND Football until he tells us what we don't want to hear.  Like it or not Romfo is the Returned QB starter.  He was the job last Fall because he was the best QB on the staff at the time.  He just observes what he sees.  His observation will have not bearing on the the coaches decide.  Not sure what Propaganda you think he has.

Pretty sure his comment was made as sarcasm.

I don't get his infatuation with Romfo. He never moved the needle last year. Once teams stopped the run he wasn't good enough to sling the rock past 15 yards without it being a duck.

1st off, I got a chuckle out of "bubbaball69" and it's good to get a laugh once in a while from the threads.  I agree about the limiting factor of Simon's downfield throwing ability.( and questionable deep threats at WR)  With some personal background on the D side of college FB, if DBs and Safeties don't have to worry about getting beat deep it's a way easier ball game.  It's almost like playing defense from the 15 yard line in no matter where the ball is.

as the duckies and bunnies on here keep waxing poetic about a guy from North Dakota nine man football who wouldn't even get a sniff from the ndac I present to what we are going up against down south....and a vast majority of these guys were recruited to Fargo when our savior was gonna turn the tide ten years ago....

To be fair, our facility upgrades didn't come online until very recently.

But the new regime will likely do a better job of utilizing them in recruiting.

Did I miss something or were our other 3 QB's Recruited to NDSU?  The 9 man guy beat out the other 3 guys on the roster last year.  Sure doesn't say much for them if they can beat out a ND 9 man guy.

Your proof doesn't relate to the claim you are making.

I’ll trust out OCs judge on who the better QB is over anyone on this board.  He has seen these guys more than anyone on here. Also must more experienced judging QBs.

To be clear I we need more out of our QB this year.  Either Romfo need to be better or one of the other to need to grab to starting spot.

I honestly don't care who starts as long as they can help us win.

I just don't want to watch balls short hopped to our receivers over and over again.

Your welcome. We can't just dink and dunk all year again it will set the team back, there has to be consistent down field threat to alow the running game to take even more of the next step just like. The cow university to the south does so well. If we can do that we will be one hell of a team.

More propaganda by Miller...

Please share why the beat writer for the local paper has any agenda other than reporting what he sees. No matter what you think he knows more about UND football than you do.

Some times having a bad qb can be fun. But I do get what your says. Just don't want to loose the students early in the year.

Our students are a disappointment every year. They trash the tailgating lot, sit with their head down on their cell phones and most leave after half time. Truth hurts.

I want to see students keep the tailgating lot clean and throw their trash in the garbage. I also want students to get severely involved with the game instead of playing on their phones. If they are taking a selfie while enjoying the game is one thing.

Bubba never got to recruit with a finished PACA. That place sells recruits in a way other facilities just don’t. It’s better than all our peers.
