Offense is basically set. Rotate a few receivers perhaps. QB1 couldn’t lose job last year after being chosen off of 5 yard passes in practice. Defense last years starters and the new transfers you can plug in. Leaves a few spots left open. Please don’t break my heart and follow through with real competition for spots everyday until January.

lot of great quotes in this article. We needed this coaching change sooooo badly. I stood by Bubba when many didn’t,  But I get it now. Glad to have Eric here.

Coach has the team moving in the right direction.  The offense is going to be explosive.  More work on defense to get stop.  Eric will get it there by fall.  #JYDs in the making.

So what’s everyone’s predictions for who wears 7, 0 and 1? I’m sure the players have to have interest in it too so may not be as simple as saying someone like Malachi McNeal gets 0, although that would be sweet. Here’s my dart throws:

I love this idea of predicting the numbers.  I don't know if I would go as far as assigning specific numbers, but picking the three that get 701 would a fun activity.  Question - do certain positions or position groups HAVE to have certain numbers??  Assuming all numbers/positions are up for grabs, I will say starting QB (whoever wins that job), Seth Anderson, and Malachi McNeal.

Could see Z or Siedel in the mix but its tough to argue with the first two. Deng Deng would be fun to see with one of those.
Don't think anyone on the OL would be eligible but there would be some candidates there if they were.

I sure hope to make it to the spring wrap up.  This spring practice seems to be different.  Emphasis on tackling and breaking tackles.  Plus making offers for more competition.  This fall will be fun.
