Wilbur Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Lot of good young players, but this will be a year to grow for Duluth. Probably two years away from playoff contention. Nice to win at REA east. Probably relied on TJ too much. 2 Quote
Washburn Sioux Posted November 10 Posted November 10 We had the Hot goalie tonight!!! Nice Sweep!! Quote
brianvf Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Sweep. Step in the right direction. Not sure what to expect next weekend. Crossing my fingers that we can hand DU their first loss of the season. 1 Quote

.357 Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Hard to take Montgomery out when the other d-men get healthy; he makes sound decisions & isn't a liability when he is out there. 4 Quote

We were at #30 before the weekend...now sitting at #16. DU sits at #1. Of course, the PWR is pretty volatile this early in the season, so it can change pretty dramatically each game. Quote
Wilbur Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Duluth has gone a little over 3 games without scoring an even strength goal against UND at Amsoil. Official number is 185:16 to be exact. Assist to Bruce Ciskie. 3 Quote

I’ve been following the PWR all season so far strictly to track its volatility. We started at #40 after beating Providence and moved up 37 spots after beating Mankato lol. 1 Quote
TrueSioux2000 Posted November 10 Posted November 10 I believe it now that I done seen it. We CAN win on Saturdays. 1 Quote
brianvf Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Berg crushed it in faceoffs...went 12-1 tonight. Livanavage with another 2a...excellent weekend from him. It's between him and Pohlkamp for DPoTW. 1 1 Quote
Big A HG Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Nice weekend against a sub-par familiar team. Now let's see what we've got against a very good familiar team. 1 Quote

A win against Denver or two would be of a significant value at the end of the year. Quote

That’s an area Boisvert needs to pick it up but he’ll get there. Quote
hockeytherapy13 Posted November 10 Posted November 10 This was an interesting weekend because the line that was so good last weekend (James-Boisvert-Perron) produced the least this weekend. The 4th line was a force to be reckoned with, though. 1 Quote

He may be one of the few offensive cogs on the team who is crucial for the team's success. Berry would probably disagree & say "Next man up", but there are some players who do so many things well that you can't afford to have them out of the line-up. 3 Quote

Perron seems to be gaining confidence and his speed along with James is very evident. Jammer is a beast out there most shifts. Cool to watch his progression. 2 Quote
siouxfaninseattle Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Great to see a road sweep, especially against an NCHC team. And I see at least a split with DU. But when the boys were talking about playing 60 minutes I thought they meant 60 minutes each game, not 60 minutes on the weekend. 2 Quote

They're winning games they're supposed to win, but they haven't played a team of UND's caliber yet. They also haven't been racked with injuries. Next weekend will be their first true test. At this point, I don't think the guys are capable of playing 60 min, so fingers crossed that they can put in a solid 50 & not get burned while in la-la land. But who knows, maybe DU will be a big enough motivation to play hard the entire game. Quote

Perron’s speed is on another level this year. With James being our fastest skater, that line is a great fit since they can push pace so well. Once Perron can start utilizing his shot with his speed, that line will become even more lethal. 4 Quote
