We're still very much appreciated as a program that develops players into pros. I have no doubt that that image will diminish if things don't improve, but as of right now, the NHL loves how UND develops players. I don't think any NHL GM would complain about a player leaving the program for Mich, Mich St, BU. Just saying. Some of these guys are leaving a lot of money on the table, I think this off season would be the year where we lose a few just solely based on how the season has shaked out. You can direct message me if you have more questions about where I get my info. He's a very reliable source. 1 Quote

Need to get back to doing that and things will fall into place despite being light years behind with NIL funding. Quote
AJS Posted February 11 Posted February 11 My prediction will be if things don't drastically turn around and Berry is retained, we'll see multiple key guys portal out. Talk about not sounding like a fan, but if you want what's best for this program, it'd be losing in the first round in the NCHC tournament, moving on from Berry and this coaching staff quickly. National search and hire with a few days to spare before the portal opens. Hope again for this program. Quote

I don't think that's happening whatsoever. Leaving money on the table is one thing, but leaving just to go to another school is another. I have no reason to doubt your source. That doesn't mean it's going to happen. Quote

UND hockey has been stale for the last 5 years. Time for a change. 5 Quote

I won't share any names because who knows absolutely how serious any comments might be, but a couple of the names I've heard are people we don't want leaving. Heard some other things about player dissatisfaction that paint a pretty unpleasant picture, which is pretty depressing if there's that much angst. i have heard similar, as well Quote

We need an athletic director who doesn’t give endless contract extensions and thinks wins and losses don't matter. And 5 of our programs need new leadership (Hockey, MBB, WBB, VB and softball). And only Armacost can make it happen. Quote

Have heard some playas getting better nil offers them free car washes what does a playa want cash and a chance at ncaa or their car washed and not making ncaa Quote

His IQ needs to increase significantly for 6 figures. I’m sure he looks good skating around cones and that shot sure looks good off his blade, but 90% of the time it rings off the glass and his vision is pretty bad if you ask me. I’m next to certain he came in as a playmaker too haha. In all seriousness….this player is allowed to be creative. He’s spinning all over the place and holding onto pucks way too long. He will be a good player…but “Berry’s systems” aren’t ruining this player. He had a really long leash. 1 Quote

I don't understand why anyone would post speculation like this on a message board read by players, coaches and family. It’s no different than some of the other stuff that’s said. If players leave, us fans will be disappointed but we will understand why they did. Quote
