cberkas Posted July 17 Author Posted July 17 I like the idea, now if it continues yearly instead of every so often. Quote
Popular Post brianvf Posted July 18 Popular Post Posted July 18 I'm currently in the UP with the family and we visited LSSU today (my wife graduated from there). Wandered into their rink...there was no one in sight and everything was open, so we were able to check it all out. Not a bad little barn, reminds me of the Old Ralph a bit. I could see it being a fun atmosphere if the student section was rocking. Showing it's age a bit though, I could see it not being too easy to recruit higher end players here. Fun visit though! 10 Quote

AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted July 25 Posted July 25 While they don't reference hockey, it's a safe assumption full scholarships for the entire roster will be available soon. https://lsutigerswire.usatoday.com/2024/07/24/ncaa-expected-to-approve-expanded-scholarship-limits-in-college-sports/ 1 Quote
The Sicatoka Posted July 28 Posted July 28 26 slots and 26 scholarships. I have no issue; others may disagree. UND historically runs at 26 (15F/8D/3G). 3 Quote
nodakgirl93 Posted July 28 Posted July 28 AIC with 36 on the roster last season is crazy. And 3-8 players with injuries at a time? Not sure about that. I like this change. Quote

After seeing what people are saying (someone on GPL did a good breakdown of it) I don't expect everyone to do this. So, from my understanding 13 schools basically have to do this (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Arizona State, BC, BGSU, Miami, Western Michigan, and UMass). Not sure if Air Force or Army have to do this being service academies in FBS. I expect North Dakota, Denver, and Omaha to also do this, but would the D2 and D3 schools also do it. I do think Connelly is making a bigger deal out of it than it should be, when next season with all the COVID exempt players gone. Quote
FSSD Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Will UND move from 18 to 26 scholarships. I assume they will. Are they going to add - woman basketball, softball and volleyball scholarships to meet this change to support Title IX. Quote
