Too bad we aren’t able to take advantage of the type of atmosphere at Allentown, at our regionals at Scheels.

Then bid on a regional.

Funny how they have regionals in their back yard 3 hours away from the farthest teams and they don't show up.

This is the only time I've seen people show up to Allentown

I'd rather just have the top seed in each regional host. Dumb to have neutral sites in random ass locations like Toledo

Did he get into hockey through family and/or through the Penguins success? Noticed he's a Western PA, Pittsburgh suburbs kid.

At least they had a good crowd of Michigan State fans for the first day.

Penguins sucess. Mom is a Leier from Esmond/Maddock area. Played in Penticton until Covid, then Tri-City USHL.

Haven’t put hardly any thought into this, so just spitballing here.  With neutral conference tournaments dying and moving to home sites, and NCAA regionals typically very poorly attended, what if we skipped all that and gave the 6 conference regular season champs a birth into the “frozen 6”?  The teams would be seeded 1-6 based on some sort of pairwise and the 4/5 and 3/6 winners (played on Wednesday?) play the 1 and 2 seeds in Thursday semifinals, then the championship on Saturday.

Wasn’t this how it was back in the day with only 4 teams making it?
