The funny thing is, we split with Miami at home and swept them in Oxford last year.

Not just that.   He's done a hell of a job for a program most of us wish to see exceed, so long as it's not at UNDs expense.

If CC makes the tourney it would probably mean they would need to do well against UND and Denver when they play again, or they win the faceoff this year.  The next two weekends make or break CC’s chances.

I have nothing against the Tigers. They remind me of those mid 1990's UND teams when Blais was rebuilding the program.

We still struggle mightily against the Pios. Yah, we upset them 1-0 last March at the Frozen Faceoff but to a man, DU honestly didn’t look like they cared. Not a jab at Mayotte and his Tigers, just making an observation. That apathy seemed to carry over in their regional loss to Cornell as well. We gotta solve Denver and perhaps the last weekend of the regular season maybe we will. DU stomped CC pretty bad in November.

I think CC has improved quite a bit since November. Western swept them on the road that month and then CC got two overtime wins over weekend against them on the road. UND understands how Western is feeling right now.

Tribute to how well DU coaches make adjustments overnight after Friday games.  And, last night, without the major, they might have gotten a result again.   

But as it stands, DU is in a big scrum for home ice with CC, Western and UMD ... this is going to get crazy.  One great save, one clutch goal, might be the difference between making the NCAA and not.

Will be interesting to see that last weekend who is fighting for home ice and where they sit in the pairwise.  Could get an interesting weekend for those on the bubble for both.
