It's hard to tell from that video if his elbow made contact with the head or what hit what. I'm sure they will have multiple views to go by, though. Expand I recall thinking shots of Sandy Saturday night showed an angry, dour guy, even early in the game. Nobody expects a bench coach to be wearing a happy face, but he looked pissed off all the time. If he gets in a pissy mood on the bench, I can see now it would rub off on his players. I might have been seeing something that wasn't there. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 Sandy never looks happy behind the bench; however, I agree in that the more dour he looks the more sour (chippy) his team's play. Quote

WiSioux Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 I think it days a lot that many of these hits were by Loheit. To quote Remember the Titans, "attitude reflects leadership, captain". If your captain is playing this way why would you not expect the rest of the team to follow suit? Quote
The Sicatoka Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 < in my best NHL Dept of Player Safety review and sanction announcement voice > As can be seen in the video, Schmaltz was low, turning to the boards, and defenseless. Loheit had time to brake or avoid contact; instead, note Loheit's right arm. There was primary contact to the head/neck region with a follow through into the boards. This is contact to the head boarding. This is a dangerous play. For comparison: to the head and avoidable. 1 Quote

burd Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 There are so many aspects of recruiting that are difficult to predict, so many moving parts that must perform well as a whole. We don’t know that this D corps will continue to play this well, but their fundamentals have been so strong. It’s not showy talent, just reliable and efficient play. Goon Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 Speaking of things that make me smile, I re-read Bruce Ciskie's pre-season predictions and it seems he underestimated the UND hockey team.
