The Sicatoka Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Worthless random data point: I saw camp film from a day where the best QB was ... the transfer from UMary that I don't even know the name. Quote

Oxbow6 Posted November 27 Posted November 27 If the offensive scheme was truly a RPO version it might be one of the worst I've ever seen. 3 1 Quote
GoodGood Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Can’t say I was impressed with the offense against fbs or playoff opponents 2 Quote
MinnDak Posted November 27 Posted November 27 I was going to be done with this for the year but Hentges was said to throw the best ball until he got put down the depth chart because a winning QB was selected. One of the biggest problems is none of the players or coaches are pushed or challenged for their spots. Snap the ball 19 bad times in a game, give up 2 sacks in a row, skip the ball to the receiver 3 times in a row, have every pass batted down, get burned on defense 6 times right up the middle. It doesn’t matter what position on this team…crickets. NDSU, SDSU, heck Bemidji all used second quarter backs as a weapon. Cam Miller stepped up his game dramatically being pushed by Cole Peyton and Peyton was a huge contributor the past two years. Did you see one time this year that anyone cared to adjust anything? Simon and Trey actually did good last year when they played. This year was an experiment on how far UND can sink doing nothing. A fabulous 2-6 and 5-6 record. 3 Quote

Payton comes in as a gadget player and rarely throws the ball. He's a huge contributor because he's a really good athlete and makes a difference with his legs. 1 Quote
Oxbow6 Posted November 27 Posted November 27 If find it ironic that the UND fan base gives backhanded compliments about the other MVFC team's QB situation after UND's QB situation this past season. Which MVFC teams would swap out their QB situation for Romfo? 2 1 Quote

They have the money to his salary. There is nobody on planet earth that loves und more. Perfect salesman for und. Create a new position and roll his pay,or portion of what he currently makes to that position. ???? He just can’t remain head coach. Bubba has und fb so far from removed from football relevancy. When looking at a map it’s very noticeable where the fcs power teams are….SD, ND and Montana. Und is in that circle of power. So then why is und never in the talk for a championship when every other single team that surrounds GF absolutely owns the fcs. Why? Constantly watching these “regional “ teams winning it all is beyond frustrating. If they can we can too. How that last extension was approved is mind boggling. The one before that was very questionable as well. Yet, here we are stuck with ….”well we can’t change it now …it is what it is ….only way to make change is pony up”. Most every person on this site, at work, family and neighbors were adamant of their displeasure for bubba ball. Been that way for years. So what is it that we saw for years that Chavez couldn’t see? Now we as fans have to pony up because of a decision made internally that has und fb falling way behind all the other surrounding fcs schools?? Please make it make sense A move needs to happen immediately. Losing the fans and players interest is not the best way to a winning ingredient. Winning cures a lot of problems. Namely recruiting and monetary issues. Recruiting is obvious. Players want to win and winning gets the attention of better recruits. Winning gives you national exposure….TV exposure….etc. For UND and GF ….winning brings in more fans and more fans means more ticket sales, merch, hotels , food...etc. Und CANNOT afford to keep falling behind. We are by far the little brother in the Dakotas and Montana. Und is on the bottom rung locally when it comes to recruiting prospects. Is the underline correct? Does his new position fall under the alumni umbrella ? Quote
