jk Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 That was a solid road effort. They were doing a lot right in the third until that failed clear ended up in the back of the net. Just think back to the last five minutes of the second, when they were pouring it on. Not scoring there may have cost them the win. 1 Quote
Esoteric Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 Blake went one to many times on his move in the shootout. 1 Quote

Oldguy Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 Ok, so instead of calling "Gaber gets 2 in the 3rd", I should have called "UND blows the lead yet again". Oh, well, 2 pts is the best they've done in 3 games. Quote

brianvf Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 Tie didn't move us at all in the PWR. Still at #22. Quote

tnt Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 Maybe it’s just looking too closely, but I was glad to see there was a subdued reaction to the extra point. Hoping that means they know the work begins tomorrow and that a loss means the weekend puts them another step back. Seemed like they celebrated more in winning the shootout against Quinnipiac, and it seemed they played like it was a win the next night. Get a win tomorrow they can feel better, but a loss doesn’t lead to any momentum going into the second half. Quote
brianvf Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 Good news is that for only the 3rd time all season, WMU's top line was kept off the scoresheet. Bad news is that we couldn't capitalize on that and even pick up a win. Another bad news is that the boys might think that the shootout "win" means that they're good for tomorrow too. Like when we had blowout wins against UNO and Miami on Friday nights...and then lost both Saturday games. My guess is that we aren't able to keep their top line off the scoresheet again tomorrow and we see a WMU win by 2-3 goals. Quote
