Side note on Alerus.....Luke Combs housed 22K last night. New attendance record for the Alerus.

My daughter lives 6 blocks east of 42nd and concert goer's cars filled the streets in here neighborhood.
She's hoping the same streets overflow again today. POTATO BOWL!

You've been pretty close on previous attendance projections, and I tip my hat.
I'm thinking we break 10,000 for this game, mainly because of the great newer mid-field seating opportunities to the public on the visiting players side.

Full House is what it will be. All tickets have been sold at least once, except for a few handicap tickets.
So if you need a ticket and have a limp, get to the doc -skip the vac. (unles go n 2 Nashvil) and get a handicap sticker.

Someone mentioned on here on one of the threads that the Alerus was at first supposedly been able to hold 14,000 for football.
I don't remember hearing that? I do remember going to the SU game in 2001 and the crowd was reported at 13,500 and still is in the box scores. There were people standing all over the place. I remember after the game a few of us discussed the game attendance at way way over 13,000 without the suites.

What's published on Wikipedia, UND website, and Alerus website all have 12,283 seats.
I tallied up each section:

Section       Seats

201 508
202 749
203 750
204 748
205 728
206 749
207 750
208 749
209 508

210 491
211 727
212 726
213 726
214 705
215 725
216 727
217 726
218 491

Total 12283

That's what I come up with also, well - kind of.
There are also 18 VIP suites. So that increases seating some.
Plus the catwalk, which is apparently now expanding the ticket pool. Peterson Porch is a new seating area located on the second-floor bridge running along the south wall of the arena.

There are 4,075 parking spaces available.

From what I understand, there are 50 ticketed seats in each of the 4 "bridge suits" and 60 ticketed seats in the Peterson Porch area.  I would think that capacity for the peterson porch area is greater than 60.  Each traditional suite is ticketed for 18 seats, and additional tickets can be purchased.  Not Sure how seating works for the Steamatic lounge or whether ticket numbers there are the same or not..  But from what I gather, and given the total of seats that you calculated, official ticketed seats, including VIP areas, should be nearly 12,800.

I was reading the Alerus/UND contract, and found this part about the concessions revenue split to be interesting.  UND get's a larger cut of concessions profit based on scanned attendance numbers.  If we could consistently draw 10.5K plus, that would be huge.

5.3.6. Share of Concessions Revenue. (1) The Commission will pay to UND a percentage of the Net Profit from Concessions from each Home Game, which percentage is dependent on the scanned number of tickets for such Home Game. The percentage of the Net Profit from Concessions is as follows:
(a) 10% for each Home Game where the number of tickets scanned for attendance is equal to 8,499 or less
(b) 15% for each Home Game where the number of tickets scanned for attendance is at least 8,500 but less than 9,501;
(c) 20% for each Home Game where the number of tickets scanned for attendance is at least 9,501 but less than 10,501;
(d) 25% for each Home Game where the number of tickets scanned for attendance is 10,501 or more.

Will they sell standing room only tickets and if they do where would they stand now?

Good question, maybe they are finding a way to sell more tickets?

1st challenge is standing room only tickets normally only works is you have a team that wins the big games each season to build up the fan base and have sell out crowds.

2nd challenge is if the highly desired standing areas are not designated by a specific ticket and then gobbled up by season tickets holders, what happens to that season ticket holders original seat? Remains open. Not a good plan when sellouts become the norm.

UND-North Dakota State football game is sold out and tickets on secondary markets are growing expensive

https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/football/7212668-UND-North-Dakota-State-football-game-is-sold-out-and-tickets-on-secondary-markets-are-growing-expensive

UND has won 12 straight in the Alerus. The last time UND lost at home was a 35-30 setback to Weber State on Oct. 27, 2018. Weber State was ranked No. 4 in the country at the time of the matchup.

The Alerus Center is officially a 12,283-seat venue, although actual attendance can tick beyond that figure.

The last two games with at least 12,000 fans were matchups early in the 2017 season, a year which followed the Fighting Hawks run to a Big Sky Conference championship. UND saw 12,057 fans against Missouri State on Sept. 9, then drew 12,342 on Sept. 23 against Montana State.

The only time in the Alerus history UND has announced more than 13,000 fans was the first season of the building in UND's national championship Division II season in 2001. UND drew 13,500 against North Dakota State in 2001.

HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE: DAKOTADOME RENOVATIONS
 https://goyotes.com/sports/2019/8/30/DakotaDome-Renovations.aspx

As one of South Dakota's most recognizable landmarks, the DakotaDome has been a cornerstone of Coyote athletics for decades. Our goal is to ensure it remains a cornerstone by transforming the DakotaDome into a championship-level facility befitting a highly competitive Division I athletics program.

image.jpeg.916768c1c36d23d21535e530c01b34d0.jpeg

RENOVATIONS: South Dakota completed an 18-month, $26 million renovation to the west side of the DakotaDome in the summer of 2020. This “first phase” featured two new entrances to the facility, bringing the total to four main entrances. It also included a new football locker room that covers more than 6,000 square feet and boasts 110 individual lockers.

The most noticeable improvement for fans are the installation of permanent seating throughout the west side, the addition of loge boxes and suites right above the sidelines, and a new modern concourse with an industrial kitchen. New lighting and sound system also enhance the gameday experience.
