The police have every reason to be thrown under the bus after enabling these losers.

There is one story out there that the guy that was shot in the head was assaulting a shop owner which caused the kid to intervene.  Is that true?  Don't know yet.  But at least one of the three "peaceful" protestors was also carrying a gun.  If you want to argue the kid shouldn't have been there I'd agree with you, but the same must be said for the others that were there too.  And it is an undeniable fact that if the Mayor and (mostly) Governor were doing their jobs none of this additional crap would have happened and they could have focused on the initial incident.  Instead they chose the woke approach and it failed miserably.  Vigilante justice is not a good thing but that's what you will continue to have if leaders don't do their job.

Wow, prosecutors are going all in.  They must have additional info.   It's risky as **** to overcharge to that degree considering the video evidence available.  They could've easily got him on some lesser charges.    

The prosecutors in these cases are in a tough position, but I also fear they are over-charging some of these cases.  I would not want to be anywhere near Minneapolis when the verdict is read.  If that cop walks on the inflated top charge it isn't gonna be pretty.  It would not be pleasant to be the judge, jurors, or attorneys in that case.

Didn't say that the kid was justified.  No one knows that yet.  Keep jumping to conclusions and throwing the entire legal system out the window like many BLM supporters are doing.  You are in good company there.

And are you trying to say that if the curfew was enforced with a sufficient show of force by the national guard that this all still would have happened?

And he wouldn’t have needed to if he had handled May properly. People were emboldened by May’s fiasco and it spilled over into last night.

Good on him and Frey for learning from their massive mistakes and taking decisive action this time around.

All folks involved in the situation are morons.  None of them should have been there.  The shooter should not have been there, let law enforcement do their job.  Displaying a gun in that situation is beyond stupid.  On the other side the protesters/rioters also should not have been there.  They shouldn't be antagonizing/assaulting a guy with a gun.  It's typically a wise course of action to give the crazy guy with a gun a wide berth.  Unfortunately they were just as crazy.

All parties involved are the LCD of the fringe right and fringe left and don't represent 99% of the country.  Nobody should be justifying the conduct of anyone in this situation.

A MN governor handling May wouldn't correct the underlying problem.
This is way beyound MN.
Massive mistakes like with our P's attitude, lies, supporting other's conspiracy theories, actions, and etc. need eradication.

I do have to agree here.  Trump drives a segment of the population absolutely crazy.  Biden's election would turn the media, and with them a majority of the crazies, away from their current push for anarchy.

The Democratic Convention didn’t try to help this.  Their platform was “we hate Trump.”   The group rioting wants everyone to think it stops if Biden is elected   It’s a fear tactic to drum up votes for Biden   Unfortunately for them it may drive for votes for Trump in places like Minneapolis, which will completely flip that state
