I'd have to go with Rory knowing he had the tournament on a 5 foot putt to win it and blew it 2 Quote
The Sicatoka Posted April 14 Posted April 14 So Rory missed birdie on 17 and 18 then hit it on "19"? Quote

SIOUXFAN97 Posted June 16 Posted June 16 worst production of a us open ever? no graphics on puts (for birdie?).....no country flags before names (until it was over).... CBS>nbc horrible job all alround. 1 2 Quote

Dustin Posted June 16 Posted June 16 CBS (and Jim Nantz, in particular) is the authority on golf telecasts, but NBC (and its Golf Channel subsidiary) are still good. Glad NBC got the USGA events (including the US Open) back from FOX. They were terrible at golf. 2 Quote

Agreed, CBS is the top of the heap for production. 1 2 Quote
SIOUXFAN97 Posted June 16 Posted June 16 did an nbc announcer mistake jack nicklaus for arnie palmer too? 1 Quote

NBC may not have been perfect for the US Open, but those Fox broadcasts were next-level bad. 1 Quote

InHeavenThereIsNoBeer Posted June 16 Posted June 16 A positive of the Fox broadcasts were the drone shots, they presented Pebble Beach differently than anyone ever had before. I never understood how the course flowed until I saw that broadcast. It was almost jarring to take a drone down 17 to 18's tee and up the coast. It was like "Oh yeah I suppose 17 green and 18 are really close to each other and it's not a video game where every hole is it's own entity". Then I got to play Pebble and really experience the aura Quote

sioux rube Posted Friday at 01:17 PM Posted Friday at 01:17 PM USA can’t putt. Currently down big in 2 matches and down by 1 in another. Leaving in one match Quote
Wilbur Posted Friday at 03:30 PM Posted Friday at 03:30 PM How does Spaun not make the morning groups? You throw out Thomas and Bryson together? Yikes. Need Patrick Cantlay to step with Xander here. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted Friday at 03:53 PM Posted Friday at 03:53 PM Henley better not play again until Sunday. JT can go take a nap this afternoon. Burns is the squad's best putter statistically in a setting where making putts wins holes but let's sit him. Spaun should be in everyone's match moving forward. Keegan is channeling his inner Zac. Have a buddy there. He said the crowd has been housing beers since 6 am and could get ugly if the USA doesn't turn it around in the afternoon. 3 Quote

Running up to the tournament, Henley sounded just glad to be there. He better step it up. Quote

Really threw the anchor on Scheffler and expected him to carry Henley, he looked completely lost. JT looked nervous as hell, his game hasn't been sharp. Need a 2-2 at minimum out of the afternoon or the fat lady going to start warming up the pipes. It doesn't help this European team is pretty much identical to Rome, had a feeling this could be their year to win an away RC. Hope I'm wrong Quote
