Who would UND hire?

In 2016 UND had the #1 defense in the Big Sky by a mile.  You know why?  They had really good players.  Recruit better, period.

My point is when he was working for Bubba, he had to defer to his decisions even if he didn't agree with them. As the head coach, he will get to implement his own vision and philosophies on everything from recruiting to attitude to game plans and so on.

There were changes from Roger Thomas to Dale Lennon. There will be changes here as well.

Whether it would work out in this case is the big question.

I remember that hire.  I thought the other guy should be picked.  I talked to a hockey player on the team and he said Gino was the guy.  The team believed in him.  I did know that rube was not a good coach.

I think Schmidt is more Lennen than Bubba.  That make me excited for UND football.

Players win games. Coaches recruit the players.

I was hoping for someone new but, if it is Schmidt, I hope he seriously evaluates the assistants, and remove those that need be.

Absolutely. An absolute must. Would be a real slap in the face *if* the UND guy who went away, and made great new “FBS connections”, then gets hired back and keeps the majority of the current UND staff in place …

Probably pretty high since the source was (maybe) at a UND event, got a text from a friend who was at a UND event, who struck up a conversation with Tom Miller.  For some reason Tom Miller decided to give his opinion and prediction on the hire.  This is 100% iron clad!!!

It can. So can a 4-3, a 3-4 and a 3-3-5 depending on the opponent and down and distance. None of them will work if you don’t have the talent to plug in to those spots though.
