There will be complaints no matter who is hired. Hopefully the new coach gets good assistants and good players and we all rally behind.

All the virtual meetings were wrapped up by Monday.  This is the finalists we are talking about.  Whatever smoke screen is being put out there about applicants first then interviews is complete nonsense.

I hope that is the case - would be encouraging - that is if Chavez had a good starting list

I live in Bemidji and followed Bolte pretty close the past couple of years. Couple of thoughts on him (if a candidate)

1) Salary at BSU is around $110k

2) Winning record every year at BSU in the meat grinder that's the NSIC (61-22)

3) Certainly a defense first coach

4) Roster is mostly MN/WI/IL players, so that pipeline is locked down. 

5) Son plays on the BSU football team, wife is a teacher for the school system. 

6) He has never played or coached in anything higher than D2.

#5 and #6 seem to point away from UND head coach being right for Bolte and for UND at this time.

#1-#4 seem to suggest he’d be a great fit for UND football.
