That $250,000 UND is paying a FCS school to come play in Grand Forks could have gone a long way to paying for these needs.

Yea we should have played a d2 team. That would have drawn 12k for sure. If only UND saw money from ticket sales....

Or they could have took another pay game from a FBS school.

UND paying another FSC school to play them is like Miami (OH) paying Boise State to play them.

Sounds like a winning strategy for making the playoffs.

FBS teams pay each other a lot more than they pay FCS teams to play.

And I'll just leave this here.

Power 5 schools pay other FBS schools from the G5 to play them,  you don't see Alabama paying Ohio State to play them.

The point of the matter is if you need the money why pay someone who is from your division to play you.

12,000 seat minus 3000 students = 9,000 x $20 = $180,000

How much we get from the networks?

How do we pay the $250,000?

It sounds like it would come from playing Washington.

Right, so do the math, how do they pay the $250,000 and then what does  UND have left.

Looks like Missouri St. won the $ battle

We get the W :)

I get where you are coming from, just think its not that much of a diff for $$ wise and we get the 34-0 Win

A lot of FCS contracts are home & home. So saves us a return trip to Miss. in an upcoming season, which allows UND to schedule another home game or FBS payday game.

MVSU is an easy win & offers schedule flexibility for the upcoming years.

How much did MSU pay us to travel down there in 2014?

Yeah, I thought this was just the return game.  I doubt Mizzou state got more than we received going there.  It was a home and home

Correct. We also play P5 Washington and away at Sam Houston. This is a win we might really need that season.

This is correct, where did the idea we paid them come from?

UND will be paying MVSU to show up next year. Needed a home game as the team is getting big bucks to go to Washington and traveling to SHSU, who will be returning the favor in a few years. Four home games would not be acceptable.

Actually when p-5 schools have to cancel their side of a home and home the pay out is in the millions.

Same if a team wants to schedule a 2 for 1...
