Yea we should have played a d2 team. That would have drawn 12k for sure. If only UND saw money from ticket sales.... 1 Quote

FBS teams pay each other a lot more than they pay FCS teams to play. BarnWinterSportsEngelstad Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 12,000 seat minus 3000 students = 9,000 x $20 = $180,000 How much we get from the networks? How do we pay the $250,000? Quote

The point of the matter is if you need the money why pay someone who is from your division to play you. Quote

BarnWinterSportsEngelstad Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Right, so do the math, how do they pay the $250,000 and then what does UND have left. Looks like Missouri St. won the $ battle Quote

So saves us a return trip to Miss. in an upcoming season, which allows UND to schedule another home game or FBS payday game. MVSU is an easy win & offers schedule flexibility for the upcoming years. 1 Quote

Correct. We also play P5 Washington and away at Sam Houston. This is a win we might really need that season. Quote

Needed a home game as the team is getting big bucks to go to Washington and traveling to SHSU, who will be returning the favor in a few years. Four home games would not be acceptable. 1 Quote
