I have the same problem. Smart TV does not have the flash player. I solved it by using watchespn on my smartphone and then casting it to my TV through chrome cast. ESPN recognized my midco account when I selected it, no log in necessary.

I've found you need to initially log in and then it stores it after that.

Correct but the first time is a bitch. had forgotten my P/W with my Cable Provider but now it is easy but Chrome Cast is touchy sometimes so need to reset the Router and unplug it and walla it Casts
