UNDvince97-01 Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 This has the makings of a game were Studs will have to play a big part in getting the win if UND want to go to 4-1.No question. As you said earlier, at some point, Studsrud is going to have to make plays with his arm to either keep pace with another offense or bring them back from behind. Our defense is bound to give up some points in BSC play like they did against Davis. Remaining teams on the schedule have the offenses to score more.We all hope he matures that way sooner rather than later. How long it takes remains the question.Excited about this weekend's game against a very good Portland State team. The season won't be over if we lose, but it would sure be nice to win this one on the road. Quote

He seemed to be down field quite often looking to lay another block. Also liked Grady's pancake. Looking forward to many more pancakes sealing the edge for Santiago and Smith. Quote
jdub27 Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Is Miller hurt or was he just moved down the depth chart? No clue but there was previous speculation he wasn't playing at 100%. I think him completely falling off the depth chart instead of falling to #2 probably confirms that. Quote
Nodak78 Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 From the clip they don't seem near as fast or quick as Santiago. A lot of missed tackles by Western Oregon as well. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Their read option pass plays make me nervous. They're really hard to defend all game. Quote
homer Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Current weather for Saturday is high of 70 degrees with a 10 mph wind. Should be a nice day for football. I can't wait to see the field the game is being played on. Portland St. has averaged around 4,000 fans per game in past games in Hillsboro. Quote
Nodak78 Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Buy or Sell Do we rush for more than 100 yds on Saturday. Quote
homer Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Buy or Sell Do we rush for more than 100 yds on Saturday.Buy- hoping for the best with recent changes to the depth chart. I'm also hoping their rush yardage given up defensively is based on the competition they have played and either the score or their opponents offensive philosophy to not try and run the football (Wash. St). Quote

SiouxFan100 Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Buy or Sell Do we rush for more than 100 yds on Saturday.boy we better. I think we get closer to 200 yards rushing than 100. Our d comes up big this game. low scoring game and we come up a net two on turnovers. We win by three Quote
homer Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 This is awesome to read. Skyline Sports @SkylineSportsMTHighlights from #BigSkyFB coaches call: Portland State HC Bruce Barnum said Bubba Schweigert was most welcoming coach at #BigSkyKickoff.Retweeted by Tom Miller 3 Quote
Nodak78 Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Bubba is a gentleman. Makes UND proud. 3 Quote
geaux_sioux Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 I'm nervous for this game. This is huge going forward for playoffs. We need to win this game and use it as a jump start to the rest of the year. Get a little mojo going and beat some teams we're supposed to lose to. Or it's back to the drawing board. Quote
UND-FB-FAN Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Buy- hoping for the best with recent changes to the depth chart. I'm also hoping their rush yardage given up defensively is based on the competition they have played and either the score or their opponents offensive philosophy to not try and run the football (Wash. St).Absolutely. Since we've only had one game with changes to the offensive line - and UND rushed for 240 yards in that game - I'd say its okay to assume UND can continue to successfully run the ball. If UND continues to rush over 200 yards, they should win most of the games on their schedule. This will be Portland State's biggest challenge in terms of defending the run. Quote
UNDBIZ Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Skyline Sports @SkylineSportsMTHighlights from #BigSkyFB call: Barnum doesn't see much different in UND. "They are the same but better & they whooped our ass last year."Haha Quote
Nodak78 Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 We have many young in experienced players. Each game they play is a big learning experience. If we can win Saturday, this will really benefit the young players and give confidence going into Idaho State and Weber State. Quote

jdub27 Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Watch BigSky had an iphone app. Do you know if eversport does? The Watch Big Sky app is being redesigned, guessing because of the change of providers. Not sure of a new release date but I thought I read somewhere they were will hoping for this fall. Quote
