.357 Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 UND wins 3-1, but it's a pyrrhic victory w/ Stecher's injury. Quote

bcblues Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Hak had better not sell this as a great weekend. Denver will be harder. Quote
Godsmack Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 God, we need Stecher. I hope it turns out to not be as serious as it sounded. Quote

SiouxFanatic Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 The way Stecher went into those boards and how he reacted...didn't look good. Gonna hope for the best but he might be out for a while which is highly unfortunate Silver lining, UND has Nick Mattson and Andrew Panzarella as backups. When Mattson is on his game he can be very good. Just needs to gain his confidence back. Quote

Godsmack Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Hennessy says there's some good news about Stecher...that he's still in the training room rather than the hospital. Quote
Godsmack Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Hennessy says there's some good news about Stecher...that he's still in the training room rather than the hospital. "Relatively good news" Quote
bcblues Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Hennessy says there's some good news about Stecher...that he's still in the training room rather than the hospital. That is not necessarily good news. Quote
GO_FIGHTING_SIOUX_GO Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Hennessy says there's some good news about Stecher...that he's still in the training room rather than the hospital. that's good to hear at least Hennessys on top of it Quote
jk Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Stecher has been super solid, but I don't worry about the team as much as I worry about him, if it is serious. The team will manage, as that position is deep. But a serious injury just as he was taking off would be difficult to take. Hopefully it won't be that bad. Quote
GO_FIGHTING_SIOUX_GO Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 You guys hav a great night it's time to go celebrate a sweep Quote
burd Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Hennessy says there's some good news about Stecher...that he's still in the training room rather than the hospital. There's no better time to have a non season ending injury though. Quote
Godsmack Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 That is not necessarily good news. Unless you heard Hennessey's comments I can see how it could be taken out of context. He said that generally, if it was very serious, he'd have already been taken to the hospital. Quote
SiouxScore Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 The Stecher injury didn't look good at all and hoping it is nothing major but would expect him to at the very least miss next weekend. LSSU did a much better job of clogging lanes and blocking shots tonight but I thought the Sioux missed the net on a lot of solid opportunities and at times passed up good opportunities trying to force great plays. Defensive zone play was very solid tonight and giving LSSU very few quality opportunities. Was glad to see Hak start Zane again tonight and not take any chances. I thought the reffing was pretty questionable tonight the head contact call on Ausmus and the tripping call on Gaarder were really bad. Quote
burd Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 It was a little reminiscent of Derrick LaPoint. Quote

Emerald joker Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 So, I'd OD scores and they have historically won, what happens if OD has a natural hat trick in a game........perhaps a natty? I was thinking about this the other day, what if he scores a hat trick in the championship game!?! automatic win? Lol Quote
InHeavenThereIsNoBeer Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 That Stecher injury scares me, I was worried he blew out his knee. If I had my pick, I'd have rather lost the game and keep Stecher if it's serious. Luckily Hennessy said he had an ice bag on his ankle so maybe rolled ankle? That would be good news right now. Quote
Handsome Rob Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Yup. At that point call the game over and bring out the trophy! Quote

That would be great news if it's only sprained....As that play was developing it looked like bad things....now I hope it's not the B word. Quote
