That's right they are over us, maybe I read their sh*t on UND thread wrong. well when you only win 1 game in an NCAA Tournament instead of 2 you're bound to feel like you're inferior and try to make yourselves feel better by running down a team that went farther than you. jdub27
I guess you prefer Canada to the US... Once they put on a UND jersey, it doesn't matter where student-athletes are from, they are part of the UND family. I guess you could be ignorant and turn away some of the best players in the world at the level they play at. Do you have issues with the non-US student-athletes that have played for FU? darell1976
I almost busted a gut laughing at this post on BV...Warning do not drink anything while you read it or you will be cleaning up your monitor. http://www.bisonvill...-Thread/page296 I agree with the relevancy of FCS not being there, but its still an accomplishment "worth bragging about". NDSU has built its program into a household name across the country. I dont need to get into details about it because Im sure youre sick of hearing about gameday, FBS wins and championships. They're just on another level right now where no FCS team has ever been besides maybe App state?

molden
If/when UND gets into the FCS playoffs there will be a lot of excitement. If it turns into a deep playoff run or a national title it will be huge for UND, its players, and the fans.

Common things to find in farmville. Asking a Bison fan about hockey would be like asking Oliver Wendell Douglas what farming is like. darell1976
So UND played SDSoM in 2012 and Bison fans laughed and ridiculed us for playing a non DI team, then NDSU played Ferris State last year, they made excuses to pump them up (FSU is the best DII team ever), now this year you have their conference mates South Dakota playing NAIA William Penn (no laughing on BV), and this thread on SDSU vs Oshkosh (http://www.bisonville.com/forum/showthread.php?32982-SDSU-v-D3-Oshkosh-B-Gosh) no one is laughing and pointing at them. Shows how immature they get when something bad happens to UND but yet they can look past it when, it happens to them, or its their "rival" and another conference mate.

jdub27
I guess giving away that much in tuition waivers and grants really has its advantages.
UNDBIZ
I guess giving away that much in tuition waivers and grants really has its advantages. This is true, but UND's bloated administration is quite inefficient as well. Also going against UND is the higher cost of living in Grand Forks. jdub27
This is true, but UND's bloated administration is quite inefficient as well. Also going against UND is the higher cost of living in Grand Forks. No argument, its a problem across higher ed. Here are the actual numbers used with #1 overall University of Michigan added in for good measure: Avg. Scholarships/Grants: NDSU - $4,754 UND - $4,432 UM - $13,992 Avg. Starting Salary: NDSU - $48,300 UND - $45,700 UM - $54,000 College Tuition: NDSU - $7,353 UND - $7,254 UM - $12,994 Student Living Costs: NDSU - $11,604 UND - $13,800 UM - $12,854 Student Retention Rate: NDSU - 78% UND - 75% UM - 97% Not sure where they got all of their numbers other than the starting salaries, which is collected by voluntary surveys. Actual respondents used to come up with the salary data were 343 for NDSU and 266 for UND with no time frame given. So real scientific and stuff. Also interesting that UM is the best value, probably doesn't hurt that their average scholarships and grants somehow exceed college tuition.

JohnboyND7
The only fun I'll make of und is the thing about using tech school kids to fill up the dorms because the school can't. Other than that, Meh.
The Sicatoka
Who would ever dream of partnering with a two-year tech school for the benefit of both? This partnership gives students an additional opportunity to use credits they have earned to complete a degree, and establishes a policy and process to allow and encourage NDSU students to transfer their NDSU coursework to NDSCS for the specific purpose of obtaining an associate degree. The Reverse Transfer is especially helpful for students who planned to, but will not be able for some reason, to earn a bachelor’s degree. https://www.ndscs.edu/academics/things-to-know-academics/transfer-agreements/reverse-transfer-initiative/ So NDSU students want an NDSCS associates degree instead? No arguments, just threw them in there because they were "ranked" as the top value. And that their average grants/scholarships exceeded their average tuition and I find that amusing..
