Wilbur Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I can't believe that U.S. defenseman left the net front when the puck went to the corner.....wow. All five of the U.S. players were in the corner and then they didn't have enough bodies in front when Canada got the puck to the front of the net. Defensive breakdown at the worst time. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 The (Brad Berry) prevent defense in the last 5+ minutes just killed the USA! Quote
WiSioux Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I feel like I should change the channel. They scored the first goal while I was at work and couldn't watch and scored the second while I was outside with the dog and didn't see... I have however seen both Canada goals. Thoughts? ha Quote
Ray77 Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 The US really needs to regroup during this intermission. Canada has some momentum right now. Quote
nodak651 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Damn.... go to career fair or watch OT. I know the correct answer, but !@#$! Quote
SiouxScore Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Lack of puck pressure and bad defensive zone coverage cost the U.S. and now they have to refocus and find a way to get it done in OT. Quote
stoneySIOUX Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Damn.... go to career fair or watch OT. I know the correct answer, but !@#$! Yeah, I'd watch OT, too Quote
gfhockey Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Someone should be fired for this debacle Quote
Wilbur Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 They can talk all they want about the empty net off the post, but what a horrible way to end the game if the linesman had gotten in the way and the USA had sealed it that way. The people with sticks should decide it....not the stripes.... Quote

SiouxScore Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Watching the replay why didn't Vetter just slap the puck back in the corner instead of letting it bounce right out in front? Canada seems to have the momentum going to OT and I think they have the advantage in goal to which is important especially in the sudden death situation. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I walk away for a minute and you guys let this crap happen? PS - Apparently UND men taught USA women to shoot at (and miss) empty nets ... Quote
Ray77 Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 Please tell me they don't play 1 OT and then go to a shootout! Quote
cberkas Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Please tell me they don't play 1 OT and then go to a shootout! Yes they do Quote
Wilbur Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Would somebody give Natalie Darwitz a hug? Quote

WiSioux Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Please tell me they don't play 1 OT and then go to a shootout! 20 min OT with 4 on 4, then a shoot out Quote
WiSioux Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Knight with two big wrap around chances Quote
Wilbur Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Great, the Canadian goalie made three great saves....we know what that means... Quote
