Casino and Convention Center going up in Moorhead…..can’t make this up. Dan, should the tribe be transparent in this case where the money is coming from??

Dan, should the tribe be transparent in this case where the money is coming from?? Typical North Dakota thinking. Now all those people who would go gamble any ways will go spend their money in moorhead and Minnesota and ND loses out again. Our state representatives can sit on their high horse while another state reaps the benefits. These old thinking people need to be voted out so we can move forward as a state. 7

Still open but dramatically degraded conditions. The old Expressway is a smoldering diaper that doesn't have long. New ownership seems to have gutted it a bit. was a decent place to get a room block not that long ago

Focused on having the 10 Commandments in every ND school (although the sponsor could only name 5 or 6 of them when questioned) and some bad buzz cut racist moron named Nico Rios from Williston sponsoring a bill to proclaim JC as lord of all ND?? wtf...we could do SO much better... 8

Well some of the old fuddy duddys will change as terms limits kick in may I suggest some of the young up and comers run for office

I imagine every term they will try and stretch it out further and further. I have zero respect for the ND Legislature.

The con job of the old guard convincing North Dakotans they are republicans, or conservative or Christian or anything other than corrupt good ol boys is disgusting. Its even sadder that nobody can seem to put forth a message that can oust them.... Its just a game and they're all the bankers 1
Kab Posted March 7 Posted March 7 The legislature follows the golden rule they have the gold, therefore they rule
Oxbow6 Posted March 7 Posted March 7 In a state that has less than 1M citizens how can the state government justify sitting on $11 billion for a effing rainy day? Nothing but retards on both sides of the isle in Bismarck. 1

Personally I like the current idea of using the investment income from it to buy down and eventually eliminate residential property taxes. 3
Kab Posted March 7 Posted March 7 What do you want done with the money? thats $13,750 per person in the state i agree with spending the interest on qualified projects or no interest loans to school districts or cities, I emphasize loans

This.....^^^ But we both know in 10 years our property taxes will be well above what we are paying now. Not less and definitely not eliminated.

Those not paying property tax wouldn’t be paying much in state income tax. the best taxes to reduce are property tax by having the state pay all school expenses and sales taxes need to put a limit on local governments how much they can raise any tax otherwise the state pays property taxes and counties still don’t lower their tax assessments 3

Eliminate property tax on everything for school taxes but not other taxes out of state owners should be paying some taxes like railroads, oil companies , pay for roads and other infrastructure 1
