AZSIOUX Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 GRAND RAPIDS, MI (2) North Dakota vs. (3) Niagara, 4:30 p.m. Friday Niagara hasn't played any WCHA teams this year ESPN-U Niagara uscho page http://www.uscho.com/team/niagara/mens-hockey/ Who's in net? Ill guess Zane Quote
yzerman19 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I'll guess Zane as well Knight with Kristo and Rocco Rowney with easy Mac and Parks Pattyn with St Clair and Cagguila Gaarder with Rodwell and Mitch Mac Lots of stops with TV- essentially a 3 line game Quote
Oxbow6 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I'll guess Zane as well Knight with Kristo and Rocco Rowney with easy Mac and Parks Pattyn with St Clair and Cagguila Gaarder with Rodwell and Mitch Mac Lots of stops with TV- essentially a 3 line game I'm with you. OD has to sit especially with the way Pattyn's line has been playing. This game will go 1 of 2 ways...5-1 UND or a Yale game. Quote
jodcon Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Both UND and Minnesota are going to have to be careful not to look past their first game at the looming matchup. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 @SchlossmanGF: Niagara has a Hobey finalist in goaltender Carsen Chubak (.938 save percent, 1.92 goals-against). Quote
SiouxScore Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I'll guess Zane as well Knight with Kristo and Rocco Rowney with easy Mac and Parks Pattyn with St Clair and Cagguila Gaarder with Rodwell and Mitch Mac Lots of stops with TV- essentially a 3 line game I'm with you on this lineup, think it gives us our best chance to win. fightingsioux4life Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 @SchlossmanGF: Niagara has a Hobey finalist in goaltender Carsen Chubak (.938 save percent, 1.92 goals-against). He's setting up his usual narrative when we lose. I hope that doesn't jinx us. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 Team fly out Wednesday after media day I'm assuming? Quote
LakotaNation Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 If OD is on top line again, I will have lost a lot of faith and trust in Hak. I'm obviously not being really serious but why does OD deserve to have that spot. Hopefully the boys spend a lot of practice on special teams play. And Zane/Clarke please stay in your net and don't give up bad goals. Quote
ringneck28 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 @SchlossmanGF: Niagara has a Hobey finalist in goaltender Carsen Chubak (.938 save percent, 1.92 goals-against). lets just beat the hot goalie Quote
yzerman19 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Niagara was great at home and .500 on road, lost the one neutral site game. If I'm reading the card right, they only won one game against nonconference in clarkson One common opponent in Holy Cross. By the stats looks like a decent top line and then a great goalie Quote
Wilbur Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I'll guess Zane as well Knight with Kristo and Rocco Rowney with easy Mac and Parks Pattyn with St Clair and Cagguila Gaarder with Rodwell and Mitch Mac Lots of stops with TV- essentially a 3 line game Bingo. Doesn't even really matter what that fourth unit is. Load up the top two and go from there. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 Niagara hasn't played anyone great out of conf http://www.uscho.com/team/niagara/mens-hockey/ Quote
keikla Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Just purchased my flight from Portland to Chicago...would have been nice to just drive down to Providence, though. Hopefully the boys can beat Chubak early and often. 2 Hobey finalists > 1 Hobey finalist Quote
siouxfan512 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Can't ever look past an opponent, but they have not played anyone decent this year. They may have a solid goalie, but we will be by far the most dominant team to test them. Shouldn't be another Yale game, Yale actually had a little talent that year (not that we should have lost). UND 5-1 I'd rather our matchup than the goofers ... Yale beat CC, Denver and tied BC this year. Quote
Siouxman Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Just bought the tickets at Grand Rapids. We will head out on Wednesday. Quote
shortbusguy Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 UND will be up by 6 before the end of the second period. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 NU website article http://www.purpleeagles.com/mobile/index.aspx?story=27230 "To be playing a program like North Dakota that has so much history is going to be a huge challenge that I know our players, and our entire university community will embrace," added Burkholder. siouxweet Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I'm severely depressed right now. proabably a good thing I won't be able to watch any of the games this weekend. Quote
SiouxFanatic Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Don't really care what Niagra's record is or how they've done this season. Fact is, they can beat UND if the boys don't show up. No looking past them. Hope the team will be ready. 2 Quote

YaneA Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Somewhere Around here I've got a "Sioux Win; Niagara Falls" button from the 2000 championship run. Hope I can find that. 1 Quote
