SiouxScore
Boston finishes off Detroit to advance to face Montreal which should be another very entertaining series to watch.

Franzen was atrocious today.

I thought Detroit would really test Boston and the series would maybe even go 7 but they just couldn't get the offense going consistently enough. SiouxFanatic
Avalanche player holds onto Wild player preventing him from making an attempt to score an ENG(no call made) and the Aves go back down and score to tie the game at 3-3. So apparently obstruction is just fine and dandy in the nhl as it is in college hockey.

Mackinnon got hit with a good clean hipcheck in the last minute then jumped on the Wild player and punched him a couple times in the head. The punch to the back of the head and cross check to the ribs seem to be the go to moves for Colorado. Pretty sure Avs were offside on the tying goal too. There also was a no call when Coyle had a shot at the empty net by was wrapped up and held. Avs top line tonight was clearly the 4 men in stripes and everyone can see that. Wild will just have to battle through it and try to overcome it as they have all series. You Avs fans that keep mentioning Cooke have you ever seen Bordaleau and Mcleod play? Take your maroon and blue glasses off. Refs absolutely blew those two calls and it cost the Wild the game.
sioux rube
Look where the ref is. He is trying to look around the Avs player instead of looking straight down the blue line. Come on that is reffing 101.

Oxbow6
Really was one of the poorest officiated NHL playoff games I've seen in a long time. To say the Avs didn't get some major home cooking ALL game long is ignorant at best. Felt like the game was being called by NBA refs! With that said a team like the Wild can't continually puke away 3rd period leads and expect to win this series. Wild win Monday to force game 7. Wild were screwed big time. The blatant hold eliminating an ENG followed by the offside goal were unbelievable

Patrick Roy and his gutless bunch of teammates were thugs in the mid-to-late 90's and he carried his antics over to game #1 of his coaching career with his hissy-fit against Bruce Boudreau and the Ducks. This shouldn't be surprising...
Goon
Fearless prediction: early in the series, a Canadien will hit Lucic hard but clean. Pierre McGuire will scream, "They're waking the bear! You do not want to wake the bear!" The Bruins will spend the rest of the series taking cheap shots, charging and running players from behind, because bullies get angry when someone stands up to them. The referees will mostly let it happen, because it's the playoffs. Nevertheless, Montreal will win in 6, with Subban getting the series-winning goal. Jack Edwards will blame it on tea-sipping collectivist elites, and note that it took eight years to win the Revolutionary War. The Bear will go play golf. Drinking? Goon
That is way offsides. First the ridiculous witchhunt inspired suspension of Cooke and now this, I don't even like the Wild but it is pretty obvious there is an attempt being made to ensure that Colorado wins the series. But as SiouxScore mentioned, the refs are probably intimidated by Roy. Dude was a hothead as a goalie and he is still a hothead as a coach. Dave, Dave, Dave... There's no way that you can defense Cooke's dirty knee. But for once I do agree with you that the officiating was very poor. (Video of holding and offsides.)
