Teeder11 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Do you believe in miracles? Don Cherry is going to have a heart attack if USA holds onto this game. I think Donny dropped out after Russia dispatched his beloved Canadians earlier this morning. 1 Quote
Big A HG Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Nice, tough win this morning. Anyone else question the "Americans" in the crowd at Ufa? Quote
Wilbur Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Nice game for Rocco. Gibson is the tourney MVP. Has to be. Quote
keikla Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Sweden channeling the New England Patriots by going undefeated the entire tournament until the championship game. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted January 5, 2013 Author Posted January 5, 2013 Rocco was a machine! Gold medal game MVP!! Can't wait to get him back into UND lineup! Quote
passit_offthegoalie Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 This was a really good Swedish team. Hats off to them. Definitely the second best team in the tournament. Quote

Let'sGoHawks! Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Congrats to that team and staff, hell of an accomplishment! Quote
MafiaMan Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Can somebody post a video of the celebration that started at 0:00? Quote
AZSIOUX Posted January 5, 2013 Author Posted January 5, 2013 Funny @THNRyanKennedy: Awkward: Apparently Sweden, Team USA, Canada and Finland are on the same charter flight out of Ufa tonight. Quote
SiouxFanatic Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Posting this here cause it cracks me up every time. Go Rocco! Go Team USA! 2 Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Posting this here cause it cracks me up every time. Go Rocco! Go Team USA! I was clapping and my cat, who was curled up in my lap, didn't like the noise and got up and left! Congrats to Team USA and Rocco, who represented himself, his country and our program very well. Hayduke Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 It was worth getting up early to watch that game. Rocco played great, as did the rest of the team. Watching Seth Jones made me think how great he would have looked in a North Dakota sweater! Quote

Watching Seth Jones made me think how great he would have looked in a North Dakota sweater! Yeah, but Jones would have been a one (maybe two) year player at best. We'll just have to settle for him helping Team USA win medals in international tournaments. Quote

joeblow Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Even when praising Rocco's work and the 2 goals, Hradek takes yet another shot at him as "sometimes being too cute in the defensive end". Show me one time Rocco's been "too cute" in this entire tournament. He's been making good plays in the d end since day 1, even when he shouldn't be the forward that should have had to be back there. And what other small US forward has won a battle against the Big Swede dmen behind the net, until Rocco did before the first goal. Answer: none. In the Canada game, right after Rocco made a great drop pass on the break to McCabe...later he made a no look, back pass off the half boards in his own zone and it ended up right on the stick of a Canadian player standing in the slot who was 1v1 with Gibson...who stoned him.
