WeAreNorthDakota Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 It was very refreshing to log on to this site on a Monday morning and see 10 times as many new posts on the Football board than in the Sioux Name board for once. I could not be more excited for the upcoming season! 1 Quote

UNDColorado Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I agree, prior to the vote this site was getting rather depressing and repetitive. Back to UND sports! Quote
Popular Post bincitysioux Posted June 26, 2012 Popular Post Posted June 26, 2012 I will be one happy camper when the focus of SiouxSports.com is sports again. Not only has the nickname issue been sucking the life out of this place the last couple years, but so has been the transition to DI. In less than a week, North Dakota will be a full member of DI and a member of an established conference. I very much am looking forward to discussing North Dakota football, hockey, basketball, golf, soccer, and everything in between rather than the merits of the nickname or what conference that we hope the school will join....................... 5 Quote
darell1976 Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 I hope the names of Al Carlson, Rob Port, and Reed Soderstrom all fade away and we hear nothing on this board but.....SPORTS!!! 2 Quote
Popular Post UNDvince97-01 Posted June 27, 2012 Popular Post Posted June 27, 2012 As far as I'm concerned there is no upcoming season to get excited about. Respectfully, can you please stop with the foot-stomping bull$***? I don't understand why you continue to do this. 6 Quote
geaux_sioux Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 As far as I'm concerned there is no upcoming season to get excited about. Of out respect for the Sioux name, maybe the time has come for siouxsports.com should change its name too? I mean, after all, the vast majority of posters here were soooooooooooooooooo happy to see the name go. Not as happy as we'd be to see you go. To be a troll on 'your teams' site is pathetic and strange to say the least. I'm not sure why you are still posting since you no longer have any connection to UND athletics now that the name has been retired. Maybe you should retire from this site and go over to Alcorn St.s site since you'd have a nickname to be a parasite to. I don't expect a response after you receive this tellagram so have a nice time with the fans of the late great Steve McNair. Quote

The Sicatoka Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Because the board owner, Jim Dahl, as he's said, will change it when he sees fit. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 ... which I found rather offensive. I find petey23's signature offensive. Quote

Goon Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 I hope the names of Al Carlson, Rob Port, and Reed Soderstrom all fade away and we hear nothing on this board but.....SPORTS!!! I wouldn't count on that happening... Aren't they still trying to get the signatures for the bill? Quote
Popular Post 82SiouxGuy Posted July 3, 2012 Popular Post Posted July 3, 2012 There is no getting over the murder of a loved one. Here's a better idea : how about you just get over the fact that I am going to remain bitter and full of resentment over this debacle. mmmm'kay? PS - Maybe it's time to change your user name to "fightingsiouxtillokeefesaysotherwise". 4life... HA!!! What a joke!!! We all saw how long 4life lasted. Dear Clueless in Fargo, No one got murdered. A college sports nickname is being retired. The 2 aren't even in the same universe. If you really believe they are similar, you have a major problem. You have always seemed to be a bitter, resentful person. This is just adding to the problem. You might want to get some professional help to recover. It would also help with the above issue. And just because the nickname is being retired doesn't mean that people won't always have strong feelings for, and a strong bond to the nickname. We just can't use it as the official name of the sports teams. Again, not nearly the same thing. Dr. Phil 8 Quote

geaux_sioux Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 I have a plan for ridding this site of DaveK, middleschool/elementary school tactic of not acknowledging his posts, he seems to get off on getting a rise out of people on this site. So how bout we pretend we are Amish and he left the clan for 'the city' and has come back to see how we're doing 1 Quote

bambinobliss Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Supposed to be upper 70's to lower 80's with a few puffy clouds for tomorrow night's fireworks. P.S. Largest display of fireworks west of the Mississippi takes place right here across the Columbia river in Vancouver, Wa. Just sayin' Quote
Teeder11 Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Should be a hot and muggy Fourth! Enjoy the parade but drink plenty of water. Ho hum. Quote
