darell1976 Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 OK, this things over. Some of you guys need to calm down. Sorry...its like watching your team (UND) score a TD against NDSU. Excitement grows and grows!! Quote
108498 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 I wonder if we can vote for a new mascot. I mean those who voted no. Those who voted yes today will get their wish. Let us have ours. Quote
UNDBIZ Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Sorry to veer off course, but in the early goings it is looking like Carlson was successful with M1 and its confused wording. Good to see McKenzie (at least 2 precincts anyways) voting for UND from the western edge of the state. Quote

108498 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Those who voted yes should have no say in the new mascot. Quote
darell1976 Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 Golden Valley County now done...YES from them. Quote
UNDBIZ Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Can those oil workers in the Man Camps vote?? I think so, as long as they've established residency in the state. Not sure what that takes exactly. Golden Valley of western ND is in with a yes for UND! Quote
jodcon Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Those who voted yes should have no say in the new mascot. Those who voted no should be banned from the UND campus and athletic arenas. 4 Quote
UNDBIZ Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Those who voted yes should have no say in the new mascot. The people who actually care about UND athletics shouldn't have a say in the new mascot/logo?? 1 Quote

UNDBIZ Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 I'm surprised the No on M2 is coming in so strong even on the western edge of the state. Granted it is still very early. Quote
108498 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Life long fans who don't give up shoud have a right not those who are willing to give up the states history. The university was known for the Sioux no more. It will mean nothing without it. I see the recuiting class growing when the meaning of the recuites goes down. Quote
108498 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 If eveyone wanted the name gone then why did we not get rid of it 3 years ago????? Quote
darell1976 Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 Cavalier-YES, Sargent-YES both complete Quote

ScottM Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 If eveyone wanted the name gone then why did we not get rid of it 3 years ago? ? Are you being obtuse, or are you really slow? There are reams of information about this issue from years ago on this forum. Go educate yourself, for once. Quote
darell1976 Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 34 out of 426 in: Yes 61.94 No 38.06 Pierce, Ramsey (Devils Lake), and Steele all complete and voted YES. Quote
UNDColorado Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Those who voted yes should have no say in the new mascot. If you are going to go that route than how about only alumni, current students, and faculty being able to choose the new nickname? I would be for that because I personally do not like seeing UND's fate in the hands of many people who have no stake in the University's success and well being whatsoever. 1 Quote

Hayduke Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Stick a fork in it, folks. It's over. If Beach, North Dakota (Golden Valley Cty) is voting Yes, then Yes it will be. By a large margin. Goodbye, Fighting Sioux. It's kind of bittersweet, isn't it? Quote

108498 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Are you slow?? I remeber the decision was suppost to be over three years ago and people continued to say oh no don't get rid of it. Well I just hope teams are calling and saying sgn us up to play you in the coming years. MINN BETTER PLAY US 4 TIMES A YEAR. Football with ndsu starting this year right. Forget big sky. We were going to go with rival schools before we got kicked out. I think we lost more when we continued to fight a few years back then we will now. Quote
