"Pioneers.com" is taken today but not by DU. Would DU drop/not use their current nickname? Miami of the NCHC's website? Not Redhawks.com but MURedhawks.com University of Michigan's website? Did UND go and buy up all of the domains for the names that are still under consideration? If nothing else, I believe they at least have the three names they can live with picked out already (which were submitted by UND). My guess for the final three names will be from the following: North Stars Flickertails Spirit Nodaks Flames Sundogs possibly Nokota's/Nokes...if they ever figure out it doesn't mean Nakota. Yep, while they're unlikely to be speculatively buying up bunches now (unless the fix really is in), it would be ridiculous of them not to snatch up the names they want BEFORE announcing the final three. As tSic noted earlier today, they don't have to be the obvious names either. NDSU uses gobison.com. Or maybe UND will do something revolutionary and just keep the website they have, undsports.com instead of matching it to the new nickname. That might stop all cybersquatters in their tracks.
