If you would like to let the actions of a few uncreative people dictate what you perceive to be a fanbase, that is a personal problem. There is a person who goes by something called the "Dakota Big Three" or something like that. This individual hijacks any blog, regardless of the topic, to UND bashing. At first I thought it was the usual smack talk. Now I am wondering if this individual has severe mental and emotional issues. Blog after blog turns into backhanded or outright slander of UND with outright innuendo, truth twisting and lies. This might be a stretch but given this persons vial and visceral hatred of UND could this be another individual with the same emotional balance of the perpetrators in Connecticut or Colorado? Dakota Big Three? Most likely that's JBB. He is a Bison fan who has a make believe conference of only NDSU, SDSU, and USD. He got banned from CS.com for posting a huge number of gay porn. I never post over there because I know I would be banned in a heartbeat. But it seems like Hambone and Sic are the only UND fans respected. The others get dumped on or called trolls, even when its a Bison fan starting up the numerous UND threads over there. Lots of years of hatred and only an hour drive between the two cities. Sure UND looks for new rivals in Montana State, or even the Gophers, just as NDSU did with SDSU and UNI, but overall the hatred will be there and when or if we reunite in the same conference that hatred will explode like it did prior to 2003. Friend of mine just posted a picture on facebook from a bar in Frisco - a sign that said "Bison Pride - Sioux Suck S*%t". It should be called the I-AA championship like it was in the past. If you actually believe it is a true D-1 championship, you are fooling yourself. The Mean Machine will probably win and get their 30 seconds of fame on SportsCenter. Then, their fans will puff their chests and claim to be able to beat the likes of 'Bama or the Fighting Irish, cuz theys all D-1 Champs! THAT is what looks foolish. This post is a microcosm of what is wrong with the attitude of the majority of our fan base. That was played at the highest level of the sport (In Men's 20 and under ice hockey) Now, one thing is clear. That wasn't a typo or a misdirection. It was at the highest level. In men's hockey (20 years or younger) that is the highest level. The supposed D-1 championship today between the buffalo chippers and Larry Sanders State is a misdirect. Despite its "D-1" championship label, it isn't. That game is really between 'Bama and the Irish. While it is a championship game, it shouldn't be called D-1. D-IAA was a much more appropriate name.
