Dixon Bowen had a goal and assist in a 4-1 win over Breck.

Ā

Mitchell Mattson had a natural hat trick and an assist in a 8-1 win over Roseau. Have heard his Grand Rapids team is very good this year with 6 or so future D1 players on the team. 7AA will be reallyĀ good come playoff time with Duluth East, Elk River, and Grand RapidsĀ battling for the title this year.

That seems just so wrong. I understand that boundaries have to be somewhere, but that school has been bounced around like a pinball by the MSHSL. Used to think it was because of the brash coach they had (Sarsland) that rubbed some the wrong way. Moorhead had some pretty good battles with the Elks for trips to the state tourney way back when.

Tell me about it. We lost to a Paul Martin led Elk River team in the section final my junior only to have them be moved out of the section my senior year.

One of our latest commits, Christian Wolanin, was thought by most people here to be a role player.Ā  Based purely off of his offensive production, 15 points in 23 games as a dman in the USHL, he will be much better than that.Ā  To put that in perspective, he is having a better year than both Paul LaDue and Tucker Poolman did in the year's they got drafted as overager's, maybe the same thing will happen with Wolanin.

Watching him play in the JR. A right now and he's much more than a role player. As a pretty polished offensive game. I had the exact same thought after some of his first shifts.

Me too. Ā Could improve his skating but seems to let it rip a bunch. Looks solid.

Ā

Gersich looks good too. Ā Fast.
